She’s protesting banks — but still getting a bailout.

The Florida housewife who abandoned her family to join Occupy Wall Street is divorcing, giving up custody of her four kids and taking a big payout from her husband.

Professional protester Stacey Hessler is legally splitting from her hubby, Curtiss, but not before waltzing off with a portfolio that includes cash and his 401(k) retirement fund, filled with stocks and other instruments of American capitalism.

The divorce settlement, filed Oct. 16, awards Occu-Mom the $79,585 fund and a $5,800 bank account. Her total take: $85,385.

At some point...five to eight years in the future...she will try to contact the kids and tell her side of the story. I doubt if any of them want to hear from her. She’ll end up at some Starbucks...making minimum wage eventually, and never remember the real reason behind any of this (drug usage would be suspected).

Sounds like dad figured 85 grand was a good deal to make the parasite go away.

Maybe her husband was willing to pay her to just go away.

Judging from the picture, the husband and kids were the big winners.

Strange justice. At the very least, the 85K should have gone to the kids and their caregiver.

Reading the article, it looks like this is how they split the assets.

He kept the house (with about $45K in equity). He probably kept a couple of vehicles, too. She got his 401(k) and some cash.

He gets full-time custody of the kids, and her visitation is severely limited. I suspect that he was willing to give up a little or a lot for this.

IMHO THE HUSBAND GOT OFF CHEAP! Best of luck to him, he has his children and got rid of the evil wench. Many, many men across the country wish that they could have this outcome for so cheap. Most of us are paying through the nose for years and years without custody and any tine we get a few extra bucks they are looking to take more and making your life hell.

She’ll burn through that in no time and then be stuck with no breadwinner and no family. Future hooker.

He’s lucky to get away for so little. I am a little surprised he didn’t get stuck with monthly spousal support (rule of thumb: 40% difference in the net).

You have to wonder what he was on when he married that skanky SOS.

If the husband is a lefty too, then this is just funny. If he’s not, this is a cautionary tale. PS: She’ll go through that money like a hot knife through butter and I second the Starbucks prediction.

85 kilobucks is cheap. I've been divorced so many times I have 1-800-DIALABASTARD on speed-dial so I can contact my lawyer.

It didn’t seem to say if she pays child support.

His problem is that, at any time, she can decide to change her mind and demand custody and child support, and is likely to get it.
