Will NBC’s Hurricane Sandy benefit become unofficial Obama election rally? (It always was)
fox news ^ | 11/2/2012 | By Hollie McKay

NBC announced on Thursday that it would show a one-hour telethon and concert Friday night entitled "Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together" to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, with money raised going to the American Red Cross.

"Today" co-host Matt Lauer will host the event, to be held at NBC's Rockefeller Plaza, and consist of performances by the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Jon Bon Jovi, Sting and Christina Aguilera, in addition to appearances from NBC news host Brian Williams and "Late Night" comedian Jimmy Fallon.

But with the Presidential election just days away, and the notion that a number of those in the lineup are outspoken Democrats – such as Springsteen, who recently endorsed Obama, and is scheduled to play at his final rally Monday night; Fallon, who has interviewed Obama on his late night show; and Billy Joel, who joined Springsteen to proudly endorse Obama in 2008,some critics have expressed concern that the telethon will become a politically-driven Obama rally.

"NBC, which operates the lefty MSNBC, is holding a pre-election ‘telethon’ headlined by Bruce Springsteen, fresh off his campaign to get Obama re-elected,” Dan Gainor, VP of business and culture for the Media Research Center, told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column. “While it should be hoped that this will focus on raising money for disaster relief, this close to a close election, how will NBC and its other eight networks guarantee that? With a talent lineup many of whom openly support the president, this could easily turn into an enormous gift to his re-election campaign, courtesy of NBC."

Oh, who cares? I will get to hear Springsteen. I do not care anything about Bon Jovi or Christina...but I do love Bruce.

All of the “entertainers” are commie lib, Obama zombies. Looks like a Barry campaign rally to me. Won’t be watching, won’t be donating. I don’t need the “Obama team” having my personal information.

I’ll be watching Friday Night Smackdown. It’s fake just like the LSM but it’s more meaningful and entertaining. Gotta see if Ryback and CM Punk go at it in a rematch ;)

If its coming from NBC of course its going to be a bunch of Obama lovers getting together to praise Obama and say how wonderful he has been..meanwhile people are DYING and STARVING in Staten Island..its Obama’s lower 9th ward but unfortunately we have Pravda media in this country otherwise they would be blaming Obama for it

* Will NBC’s Hurricane Sandy benefit become unofficial Obama election rally? *

That is what the deluded Main Stream Media thinks.

In reality ?

It WILL have just the opposite effect since many people are already suffering and people's tempers are flaring.

Those people want their stuff now !
Those people want food, clothing, a warm bath now !

This pseudo benefit Hurricane Sandy concert will just turn into a free campaign ad for Obama and will remind people why they SHOULD NOT vote for Obama....
This so called Hurricane Concert will just be another liberal main stream media love fest for Obama.

IMO, anyone going to that would vote for O zero anyway so who cares.

Springsteen last time he was in Jax had some kind of anti war/military bent to one of his songs. Jax, a Navy town was less than happy about it and let him know it.

Wait until desparate people start throwing things at the stage, among other things. Who will be providing security for this ‘event’ when precious resources are needed elsewhere in the area? These people need to grab a glove and get in the game.

Since 9-11 I have a deep distrust of TV fundraisers. If these people were really serious they should put up their own money first...Unlike, that guy from Ireland...

I guess that Romney effort to gather up food and clothing isn’t so stupid now.
