“A cell phone by your bedside was way better than a gun because a cop would only be minutes away

I happen to be fond of my dog.”

Dogs are warning systems, not weapon systems.

May I suggest the “Telescopic Dog” - it barks here and bites over there. Telescopic Dog dog food is compact, easily stored, has a shelf life measured in decades, and is easily converted into hard goods, foods, services, even peace, quiet, and solitude.

Dogs are also likely to get shot when the cops come, especially if they encounter a chaotic situation.

Trained cats are better. A cat is not usually shot. But a cat can not just bite but claw.

Jefferson warned us about stacking people in cities as in Europe, a warning which goes back to at least the time of Moses. But, ........

Best of luck in surviving the Urban Ferals and the perhaps even more destructive Libtards in gubment positions.

Are the houses along the beaches mainly permanent residences or vacations homes?

“The man is pure mad.”

I must disagree. Bloomie is pure, unadulterated Big Sh*ty socialist, yes. But is he ‘mad’, certainly not by local standards.

They elected him.

Now let them suffer the consequences.

Societal breakdown consequential of Sandy can become America’s ‘teachable moment’ only if the consequences of d urbanism & socialism are shown to be sufficiently painful/lethal - and they are well publicized.

The people in the above article apparently live on the eastern border of Belle Harbor nearest to the Rockaways public housing.

Not including Roxbury, Rockaway Point, and Breezy Point, going from west to east on the peninsula are Neponsit ... Belle Harbor ... Rockaway Park/Seaside ... Rockaway Beach/Holland/Hammels ... Arverne/Edgemere ... Far Rock.

The three west end communities had major fires during the storm.

There are public housing projects in Hammels, Arverne, Edgemere and Far Rockaway.

“I happen to be fond of my dog.”

I have two, one’s an 85 lb. Pitador who sleeps with me. The other, a 105 lb. Great Dane, sleeps on the living room couch. Pretty good protection and neither’s a four footed lawsuit waiting to happen.

Man, I am so sorry for all you are going through.

On the unemployment, you can fight it and explain why you were furlough.

That happened in the 89’ earthquake too.

People were furlough and they fought it. H
Got full benefits.

Just push em. they will help you.

Women want a man who can make them laugh.

They also want a man that makes them feel safe.

I guess that makes me a Clown Ninja!

A cell phone by your bedside was way better than a gun because a cop would only be minutes away Only minutes away when seconds matter

Only minutes away? There are 1440 minutes per day. Bloomie is full of SHTF!

Perfect. If you have such a place for sale, we’ll take it. You have no idea how serious my husband is about this.

Well, the ninja thing prolly works. But, as everyone with any sense knows, clowns are freaking scary. So you’ll need to find another way to be a funny ninja. Or something. :)

Not a problem. I’m sure my husband would have to build the house himself anyway. He’s a DIY kinda guy (to the point that my wanting to call a repairman for anything is akin to casting aspersions on his manhood).

Since they published the woman’s name in the video, for the hell of it I looked her up. She lives on 92nd, in the heart of Rockaway Beach/Holland. The Hammels public housing project starts on 86th.

The train station at 90th is called Holland. The one at 98th is Playland (only a memory now), 105th is Seaside, and 116th (the last stop) is Rockaway Park. Belle Harbor starts at 125th.

I know the area very well, third generation, spent more than 50 years there. I only wish the media knew it as well. It irks me (and everyone else I know) when a reporter stands in front of the “Welcome to the Rockaways” sign at the foot of the Marine Parkway Bridge and says, “Reporting from Far Rockaway ...”
