A man was tasered by police after he picked up his garden hose and attempted to stop a fire spreading that was threatening to engulf his home.

Dan Jensen, 42, awoke from a nap last Thursday when he hear his wife, Angela, also 42, scream that the house next door at 3420 Beechwood Terrace N in Tampa Bay was ablaze.

When the father of two went outside, the fire had already engulfed his neighbors’ home and a fence in between the two houses and the flames were starting to lick the corners of the Jensens' home.

The People’s Police State of NJ has the highest cop density in the nation. It’s so bad in some areas you must follow every traffic law perfectly or you will quickly get a $500 ticket. Ca-ching! But family members and off-duty cops are immune from this armed highway robbery. One got behind me yesterday in a $100k luxury SUV featuring law enforcement plates and got total road rage at me because I was going only 28 mph in a 25 mph zone and he was stuck behind me on cruise control for 5 miles. His attitude was “Move over taxpaying chump, the jackboot rules don’t apply to me!” He had to calm himself down because acting out on his road rage might cost him his cushy government gig and pension. Half the reason I’m leaving NJ is it’s filled with asshole jackboot cops and other democrat loving government hirelings.

” Yeah but it has to be a big dog, the small ones are too hard to hit.”

Preferably, staked out in the front yard on a very short chain...

Some folks have better memory for movie scripts. Bout the only thing I can remeber about Rourke was the scene where he had the blonde twit Kim bouncing up against the wall in a hallway.

But he was right about the cops! They have turned into an inbred getto PitBull, you are not really sure what they’ll do.

” I’d love to hear the explanation for how he put the cops’ lives in danger.”

If the homeowner had gotten into trouble, the officer’s lives would’ve been put in jeopardy when they had to rescue him.

Oh , wait a minute, nevermind...(I didn’t realize how silly that sounded).

Chris Christie has 13 NJ tickets to his name, although he's gotten out of others because of his government employment status. He chose to battle the big education pigs for now but I doubt he loves NJ cops either.

I used to feel bad when something happened to cop but since one shot my dog I feel a bit of happiness every time now. Cops have become the face of big government at its worst.

I’ve seen people become completely irrational in their efforts to fight a fire.

So you think firemen and school lunch ladies should be armed to "protect" we stupid "civilians" too or are you just a badge bunny?

The police may have done him a great favor so that he will be alive to bitch about being saved from his own idiocy.

Does the term "private property" ring a bell, or are you a supporter of Plank #1 of Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto?

Private property isn’t part of this equation. This was a real emergency that the police didn’t create. The problem is an irrational homeowner pissing on a fire of sufficient size to engulf him and his property. The officers are sworn to protect both. It appears in this case that they chose to protect life by preventing him from terminating his in a reckless manner.
To be sure they will be second guessed and vilified, but had they let the fool get between the buildings and become a roast, they would have been held responsible for not stopping him. Sometimes it’s far better to let common sense prevail over emotion. Let’s try to condemn the police for their intentional trampling of our rights.

You are so full of $%!&. We can't even hold cops responsible for gratuitously shooting dogs.
