Could be.

Or there could be something to those whacko conspiracy theories that the two parties are run by the same powers-that-be.

Not that I agree with that view. But it is hard to deny that the evidence points in that direction.

It has been 84 years since the last time that the Republicans won the White House without someone named Nixon or Bush on the presidential ticket.

That may be the only thing working in Jeb’s favor.

If they run him I don’t see this ending well for us. We definitely can use someone new and truly conservative, not another RINO. That just gets us burned in the long run.

there are 20+ million primary voters who will decide the next nominee, not the GOPe’s.

Sure and we will never support Romney. You act as if we have any say in the matter. There is a reason the primaries are structured the way they are, and the rigged them further at the convention. They vowed that a "Reagan" could never stick it to them again.

Technically, yes.

But look at how the GOPE has destroyed the true conservatives during the primaries and forced us to support THEIR pick.

At least, nobody will vote for Jeb until they do vote for Jeb.

Ain't that the truth.

I didn’t vote for Romney in the NH primary. I actually voted for Gingrich.

Produce your evidence that Mitt enjoyed large FR member support in primaries.

Give me a break. There was a mass purging of accounts by Jim over support for Romney way back before he was the chosen nominee, and you know it. It was such a massive problem that Jim had to relent to "agree to disagree" in order to avoid losing a critical number of FReepers.

Any small number of Romney supporters could have been dismissed without a bit of concern.

Rubio doesn’t have a prayer.

Look at what the left does to every conservative minority (whether a true conservative or merely a Republican).

They will hammer it into everyone’s brain that he is nothing more than a Tio Tomio.

I will not give you any more “break” than you have given me. Most Mitt talk during that hysterical purge period was “is Mitt half bad if he wins” not “oh, I really wish Mitt would be the one who runs.”

It seems to me that the only talk by Mittbots during that time was “he’s the only one who can actually beat Obama.”

The records are as open to you as anyone and you have made the assertion.

Proof please, along with a demonstration that they are proportionally representative — or silence.

No more Bushes. No more Rockefellers. No more Kennedys. No more Jacksons.

Which one of the Obama kids will we be voting for in 2026, Slasher or Masher?

Or will it be Chelsea in 2020?

No more dynasties.

The GOPe can of course push for their choice which is usually who is next in line. But then we had how many debates in the GOP primaries? 2 dozen? Every candidate who polled with some decent numbers was included in debates. They all had chances to make their case.

I heard them all and favored Cain or Newt. I sent both some cash. So now I should be crying in my soup because Romney won? Wake up and smell the coffee, Romney won because he got more votes than the others. I voted for him in general anyway because to me he was better alternative to the radical socialist and abortionist from Chicago.
