Sorry, college students. President Obama has cut your access to Pell Grants by 33%; he just forgot to mention it before Election Day.
During the recent campaign, President Obama claimed credit for increasing funding to the Pell Grant program, which provides college funds, free from repayment, to millions of students. However, an email sent out Tuesday to some Dallas college students is revealing a detail the President forgot to mention: the time a student can receive a Pell Grant has been cut, by as much as three years. With Pell Grants for the fall semester now dispersed, colleges are informing students of their options, bringing the cuts to light.

I agree with yout whole post! I’m sitting here laughing my, um, rump off. Funniest thing I’ve heard all day. Time for the stupid, stupid college students to wake up and start whiffing the coffee.

How else can you create a crisis in the college community ?
How else can you wreck someone’s credit rating other than limiting the length of the ‘Pell Grant’, and not tell them. Then require them to take out a college loan, that they can’t pay back when they can only get that part-time job flipping burgers ?
Then have ‘The Fed’ holding all those loans in default !
Now the Government ( Regieme ) owns your butt !!

If they ask students what they think about this, they will not complain. Most will say he's doing what needs to be done.
If they are told this happened in late summer and he lied throughout the campaign they will say its a republican lie.
That’s not the half of it. For new applicants, you now have to have a HS diploma or GED and maintain satisfactory progress toward a degree.
In the past, many “students” would sign up for classes, take the money, and never complete the course, using the Pell grants as another form of welfare. It is not uncommon for 30% or more of community college students to drop out before the end of the term.
