Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) urged House Republicans to accept a fiscal cliff deal passed by the Senate early Tuesday morning and to prepare to extract concessions from Democrats in exchange for raising the debt ceiling.
If the House fails to pass the deal, Graham told Fox News, Were going to get blamed and about two weeks into this, well fold like a cheap suit. Instead, he urged Republicans, Work with me and others never to raise the debt ceiling again unless we address why were in so much debt. Graham made a similar comment to the National Review, saying, Its not all I would have liked, but its called American democracy, so on to the debt ceiling.
And on Twitter, he wrote, The debt ceiling fight is where we can make major spending changes and prevent the country from becoming Greece.
Graham is up for reelection in 2014, and he could face a tough primary challenge from the right. Hes clearly seeking to make the case to conservatives that Tuesday mornings vote doesnt mean caving on spending.

the House TEA Party caucus should attach just one amendment to the senate bill—tax cuts for everybody!
It will die when it goes back to the senate but at least everyone will know WHO raised everyones taxes.
Primaried next year. Assuming we can find a conservative candidate that will seriously challenge Linda. She's got a substantial war chest. No, not that kind of chest :)

Frigging faggot!
Monday around 3 pm it was fascinating to see McCain and Graham pulling a Bad Cop/Good Cop routine over the Senate vote and Obama’s 2 pm press event.
Regarding our young people being hardest hit, in 1983 during the Reagan administration there was a bipartisan effort to save Social Security. It was agreed that a wage cap of 90% was a suitable figure to use. Since then the wage cap has drifted down to hovering around 85%. If it had been kept at 90%, and if it is moved back there quickly, then SS would have a lot more fully funded years to help our younger population when the time comes.
It’s time to thwart Obama’s “leadership.” Vote NO and then hold tough on the debt ceiling.
Give in now so we don't get blamed for shutting down the government. We have to raise the debt ceiling or we will get blamed.
Ass hats should just fight to the death every time. At least then they would be respected. Nothing but political whores!
Yeah, Miss Lindsey and the rest of them didn't have the stones to fight this insanity off in the Senate so now, after punting the mess back to the House, he wants the House to do something manly. Wow.
Nah, vote no, and primary Grahamnesty anyway.
I guess Graham failed to mention the Senate bill had an additional
330 Billion in additional spending. And he voted for that?
Primary his a$$ out.
It is better to hold ones lip and say noting when all that I could say is beyond Negative!
Exactly. Thanks for link.
The Goober has a mental disorder.
I want to vote too. I vote we make any remaining GOP supporters identify themselves on forums so we can just ignore anything they have to say preemptively.
If they insist on empowering a party hellbent on wrecking the last vestiges of my country, I want to know who I’m dealing with upfront.
This should have never got this far. All this needed was for Boneher to say “the house passed legislation already and sent it to the senate. The Senate didn’t even consider it. That’s it, we’re done. We’re not voting on anything else. We already agreed dems and repubs to the sequestration. That’s it. We’re done with this topic. Have a nice day.” And then recess the house until about February.
The GOP gave in a year ago, which is why we are where we are now.
These people are not just hacks, but mentally I’ll hacks.
Goober talks about cutting spending a day after he voted for a bill that
contains 330 billion more in spending. The lady is very sick.
No, they are DEMOCRATS, and I wonder just how much reality people can ignore before the embarrassment of it becomes too much to bear.
Two Words: Limp Dick!
He doesn’t want the Libs exposing the rampant homosexuality in the Republican party. So he give in to protect those not yet ‘proud’ enough to admit it..
Open letter to South Carolina Republicans:
Please run someone against this little ba$$turd and send him out of the Senate. Please. Thank you.
Don’t worry. He will not come “home”. He will become a sleazy DC lobbyist.
Shalom
What more could you expect from the “princess?”
