To match our current spending rate, ALL TAXES MUST INCREASE BY 30%!!!
30% on everyone, EVERY TAX!
This is per Congressman John Campbell, who is also a CPA.
This is a crisp message that must be repeated as often as possible.

So this was the idea of forcing Bohner to kill plan B, and to try to get him to block this Senate bill, to raise taxes on the 98%?
At least that would be an honest argument rather than claiming that killing those bills would be stopping tax increases which everyone knew was untrue.

The only way to finance a big European-style state is to have it paid for by massive taxation of everyone, mostly the middle class.
No, that won't do it either. There simply is no way any nation can generate the revenue needed to finance the kind of welfare-state wonderland that liberals want. Disband the military, tax all workers at an 80% rate, borrow money from any idiots willing to buy worthless debt obligations - doesn't matter, there's no way all of us can live on someone else's money.

One wonders if President Obama would have won the election if he had warned voters that “to pay for Obamacare, stimulus spending, increased regulatory oversight, and the rest of the big government wish list I believe important, we need to raise the level and share of taxes paid by the middle class”?
Walter Mondale said it out loud during the 1984 campaign, and look where it got him.
Hillary is notorious for, among many other things, having said "We are going to take things away from you." She won't be moving in at 1600 anytime soon.
