Glenn Beck’s Recommendation for Defeating Obama Gun Grab (We’ll show them. Fill up the Prisons??)
Vanity | January 10, 2013 | Perseverando

Posted on 01/10/2013 11:06:56 AM PST by Perseverando

Normally, I don’t to the vanity thing, but I think this “Glenn Beck Plan” needs to be Freeper analyzed and dissected.

First let me say, Glenn Beck has done a great service to America and I really appreciate his Tea Party, patriotic events and leadership. I thought his TV program was fantastic. I enjoy listening to his serious radio discussions, but he and the gang get a little too rambunctious and off the wall at times. That said:

Did anyone else hear Beck this morning talking options for dealing with an Obama gun control and possible gun confiscation effort? What am I missing with this plan?

Frankly, Beck makes me a little nervous sometime with some of his rants, and this was one.

I was multitasking, reading FR, checking the market and halfheartedly listening to Beck in the background. At around 11:00 AM EST, Beck and crew are talking about Obama and the gun control gang and he starts talking about what to do if they begin actively confiscating guns. His planned for resistance to tyranny is to overwhelm the legal/prison the system. ??????????

As I understood Beck: If they come for your guns we should let them arrest all of us, and overwhelm the system. I guess he thinks the legal and penal system can’t handle all of us if we do the MLK/Gandhi peaceful resistance technique. Kumbaya!!

Let me walk through what I think Beck was suggesting we do (as I understood him.)

BECK PLAN
The Feds come to the door and ask about your gun possession.
You admit you have them, but they can’t have them. You affirm your 2nd Amendment rights and tell them to arrest you.
We all do this and grind the legal system to a rapid halt. They can’t arrest everyone can they?
Beck says: To resist with force in numbers would guarantee that we lose. .
He also says: To peacefully resist in mass, we win by breaking the system. .

Will this plan somehow ensure that law and order, respect for private property and the Constitution are miraculously re-established?

Let me propose an alternative theory on how this might work out in Realville and why Beck’s scenario fails if firearms owners are foolish enough to try this.

The Feds realize quickly that they can’t fill up all the gulags with all the peaceful gun control resisters. So they change the collection technique.

Flexible Obama Confiscation Plan
Arrive at suspected noncompliant gun owner’s home.
Search warrant in hand, 3 -4 LEO’s question owner on possession.
Law respecting/abiding gun owner admits/denies he has undeclared/unregistered gun & asserts 2nd Amendment rights.
Arrest him, “search & destroy mission” in gun owner’s domicile. Terrorize family.
Collect firearms, ammo, etc. .
Gun owner goes to jail for day or 2 until substantial bail is met. .
Big legal bills for attorney and court date. .
Quick, simple trial for “open & shut” case on illegal possession. .
How about a fine of $5,000 per firearm, suspended sentence. .
Felony criminal conviction on his record. Loss of right to own/possess firearms in future. Loss of voting rights. Loss of certain employment opportunities, etc., etc. .

Finally, no guns, no freedom, no money, no job. Just Obama and his thuggorcracy making the criminals out of law abiding, patriotic American citizens..

Should I have been listening to Beck a little more closely? What am I missing? Do Obama and his thuggocracy all of a sudden begin to play by the rules and respect the rule of law?

It then becomes YOUR task retain counsel

And let us remain mindful of one of the many detriments to an interconnected society: as soon as the LEOs snap your photo at the jail house, that picture will be disseminated across the fruited plain, and you will forever be fighting to clear your good name in the realm of public opinion.

My brother is fighting this fight right now, as he was unlawfully arrested for a crime he did not commit, was fingerprinted and photographed, and now his picture and "arrest record" is splashed across the Internet for any future employer to find by simply searching his name even though his name was cleared.

The extortion racket websites that post those "wall of shame" photos want sometimes in upwards of $500 to remove the photo, and despite all of the negative publicity, akin to defamation, the LEOs can't request to have the pictures removed anywhere. His chances of being hired at a good company have dropped precipitously as a result.

Now, imagine if you're arrested for owning "illegal guns," you're photographed, fingerprinted, and a perp-walked, you bail out of jail, your name is cleared on Second Amendment grounds, and you return to pick up the pieces of your life. You are permanently a member of the Internet wall of shame for simply owning firearms and practicing a right endowed by God.

This, I believe, is even more egregious than the reason for being arrested in the first place. This is the "scarlet letter" the Dems would want for gun owners.

Stick to your guns, no matter what!

by Matt Bracken

If they come to take them by force, they have declared war on the Constitution, and on you. At that point, war is joined, just as it was during another famous gun confiscation raid on April 19, 1775.

If a firearm was legal in 2012, under the 2nd Amendment it’s still legal in 2013 and it will be legal forever, no matter what “executive orders” are handed down or “laws” are passed by a panicking Congress. Those who say otherwise are liars and traitors and oath breakers and domestic enemies.

Every survivor of every genocide says the same thing: when they come to take your guns, shoot them. Make them take them, and their system of repression will be overwhelmed, because they don’t have millions of jack-booted thugs ready to do armed battles all over the country.

If you give up your arms, you are placing your entire trust in the permanent future benevolence of the U.S. government. This trust is invariably fatal: ask the American Indians.

History is clear, with numerous examples. The German gun registration laws, and subsequent confiscation of “military weapons” (then, Mauser rifles, Luger pistols etc) were enacted in the 1920s Weimar Republic, years before Hitler came to power. The gun registration lists and military weapon prohibitions were enacted in the name of “public safety.” Note that phrase well.

I’m sure today’s liberal utopians would agree 100% that they were “common sense and reasonable” gun control laws. Then Hitler came along, and used the registration list to first disarm the Jews, and then force them into starving, overcrowded ghettos, and finally into gas chambers. The Nazi genocide of the Jews was enabled by their “common sense” gun registration lists.

Millions of Polish Jews were rounded up by German military police battallions. The German military police only needed a 1-10 ratio to their victims. A mere 100 German military police, (4-Fs in their forties, bottom of the barrel conscripts, not rabid SS), would round up and murder a town of a thousand Jews over the course of one day. Force them to gather, and sit tightly packed on town plazas or sporting fields under the watch of only a handful of armed guards, then march groups of twenty or thirty at gunpoint into the woods for point-blank execution. A 1-10 ratio means the military police were not worried at all about meeting resistance. The victims were all previously disarmed.

During the Armenian Genocide from 1915-23, two million Christian Turks were exterminated by being marched at gun point into burning deserts with no food or water. The Turkish gun registration laws were enacted in 1911, in the name of “public safety.” The genocide began a few years later, after the Armenians’ firearms were confiscated.

Entire divisions of Russian troops hiked home from WW1 in 1917/18, carrying their rifles and swords and other sidearms. Very early on, Lenin decreed that “public safety” required they all be turned in, under penalty of death. And so the Russian war veterans were disarmed—but not the Communist Party members. Then came the Soviet purges, the Great Terror, the Gulags, and tens of millions of disarmed Russians were murdered.

I’m sorry, but I do NOT trust that our federal government won’t turn as mean as the old USSR at some point in the future, perhaps after an economic crash or other major crisis. The Obama regime already perceives that we “Bitter Clingers” are reactionary forces not only standing in the way of social progress and liberal utopia, we are actively blocking it. That makes us pure Evil, since their plan for socialist utopia is pure Good. And that means they will ultimately come to feel totally justified in seeking a “final solution to the Bitter Clinger problem.”

If they are scapegoating us as national villains now, what will they do when they have no reason to fear us whatsoever? Did the Turks, Soviets or Nazis treat their despised minorities better, or worse, after disarming them? Think!

And once a despot’s enemies (that’s us) are disarmed and helpless...the temptation grows to simply do away with them. Obama mentor and biographer, the Weather Underground bomber Bill Ayers, stated that they would need to murder 10% of the American population to achieve their socialist utopa. Thirty million bitter clingers. Guess who that is?

Don’t relearn this bitter lesson the hard way. Learn from history’s many examples. As it was for the Turkish Armenians, German Jews, Russian Kulaks, Chinese, Ugandans, Guatemalens, Cambodians, Cubans, Rwandans, and on and on, history’s lesson is crystal clear:

Stick to your guns!

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? After all, you knew ahead of time that those bluecaps were out at night for no good purpose. And you could be sure ahead of time that you’d be cracking the skull of a cutthroat. Or what about the Black Maria sitting out there on the street with one lonely chauffeur — what if it had been driven off or its tires spiked. The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!”

No doubt, eventually. (maybe sooner than later)

Either way, someone may have those guns but using them will come at a very high consequence also.

It won't be treated as though, "Whew could thing he had that illegal firearm to protect his family from that intruder".

It'll be UK style justice. How dare you protect yourself and having a gun will be treated like having 4 million grams of cocaine x 100.

And when Glenn and his pacifist followers are thrown into a cell with a very lonely room mate while their case is adjudicated over the course of several days, weeks, months...??

Not everyobody has a lawyer on speed dial, can afford bail, or understands the process to secure a bond before their cellmate has time to "get acqainted."

Sorry Glenn. My Oath is to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic - not surrender to or allow capture by those enemies.

Beck is insane and those that listen to hin are brain dead.

No war has ever been won based on a pure defensive posture.

Offensive tactics MUST be initiated.

States and towns must declare areas that are exempt from ANY federal gun restrictions and any agents entering that area to enforce Obamas illegal laws will be escorted out.

You’re right. They won’t imprison gun owners. They will simply destroy them economically with fines, seizures, loss of employment, etc.

That's why they had such a hard-on for Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law.

The part the news media NEVER talked about throughout the entire Trayvon Martin Show is that SYG confers immunity from civil prosecution so long as there's not criminality on the part of the defender.

Under the new law, they have no way to "punish" the "bitter clinger" for defending himself with appropriate use of deadly force.

It's always been the liberal way: if they can't throw their enemies in prison, they destroy those enemies financially in the courts.

If the federal jackboots ever come to forcibly confiscate The People's guns, NOT using those weapons for their intended purpose will come at an even greater price.

If the feds try that, it will be time for the states to bar the door on such tyrannical encroachment, and protect their own citizens by refusing to comply.

As someone upthread said, the states will be forced to arrest any federal agents within their borders, and escort them to the exit.

obama and company are intent on doing this fast. VERY fast. They think the faster they move, the less time we will have to organize and plan. They think we haven’t really seen this coming or didn’t believe it would ever happen, and sadly, to a great extent, they were right.
They intend to overwhelm us with chaos and confusion
I believe they will think they have won in the early stages, but as the general public begins to comprehend that this is for real, the ‘nothing left to lose’ mindset will take hold and the bloody backlash will be something they never expected or bargained for.
It is a terrible way to learn the lessons we have been trying to teach, but terrible it will be for all sides. We will not escape this reality, and neither will they.
War is hell, but slavery and tyranny is far, far worse.
We WILL fight and many who started out against us will come over. The military, if it does not intervene on our behalf in the beginning, will find itself with more internal strife than it can handle. Desertions and fragging will be impossible to control.
Government employees are still Americans. It is the corrupt and power hungry leaders who will have the most to fear, and we will MAKE them fear.
They will try to isolate us from each other, but they will find that impossible as their isolation increases and their power dwindles away.
WE see outcomes. They do not. They have not truly contemplated the consequences of their actions and they will lose.
FREEDOM IS JUST ANOTHER WORD FOR NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE.
In this case, that is the truth and it will work FOR us, not against us, as they so self-righteously, stupidly, and wrongly think.
WOLVERINES!!!

And the U.S. Attourney General will classify all firearms as illegal weapons ; and all illegal owners will be considered terrorists and held without public trial :

I can’t say. I watched him dunk the obama doll in urine. It was pretty funny. Other than that I don’t follow him. He is a bit too dramatic for me.

Glenn Beck is too wedded to the MLK/Ghandi shtick.

I came to that same conclusion several years ago.

Gandhi was successfull because his opposition was nominally civilized.

Had the Imperial Japanese Army made it as far as India, his headless, bayonetted corpse would last have been seen floating down the Ganges.

I don’t think that a bunch of wanna-be cowboys realize that mouthing off on the internet about shooting people will just result in a visit from law enforcement and get them on watch lists. We should fight this the most legally efficient way possible, through the court system. Nothing good will come from people mouthing off or popping off rounds.

That’s good, but I like the “Schindler’s List” one better ... baits the reader, reels them in “Yeah, only the police and military have guns ... Good, Good ...”, then the 2x4 between the eyes.
