Revolutionary Language
The New York Times ^ | January 11, 2013 | Charles M. Blow

Listen closely.

That sound you hear is the sound of a cultural paranoia by people who have lost their grip on the reins of power, and on reality, and who fear the worst is coming.

And they are preparing for it, whatever it may be — a war, a revolution, an apocalypse.

These extremists make sensible, reasonable gun control hard to discuss, let alone achieve in this country, because they skew the conversations away from common-sense solutions on which both rational gun owners and non-gun owners can agree.

These people, a vocal minority, have extreme fears — gun confiscation, widespread civil instability, a tyrannical government — from which they are preparing to defend themselves with arsenals of weapons and stockpiles of ammunition.

If you pay attention to the right-wing’s rhetoric, you can hear a string of code words that feed the fears of these people and paralyze progress.

A collection of conservative groups have declared Jan. 19, during the weekend celebrating President Obama’s inauguration and Martin Luther King’s Birthday, as Gun Appreciation Day....

Hey Blow, sit and try to think for a minute. You claim that we don’t have tyranny because we have democracy. It’s not as if the two can’t exist together.

Tell me, how did the vote on Obamacare go? Who voted for it? You can’t. That’s because it was “deem to pass” in the middle of the night with no one taking credit for it except Pelosi, the scion of a crime family.

Tell me, how did this current tax regimin go. Did congress honestly debate under the light of day? Did congress allow time for constituents to weigh on on relevant details? Or did they pass it on a voice vote in the middle of the night with no debate allowed?

How can you claim to be represented? By a chain of secret votes when the cameras are turned off? The Soviet Central Committee was more representative and democratic. Now you want the president to ignore the house and keep on running up the debt over the limit. A congress that votes in secret and a president that repeatedly flouts the law is tyranny.

Sic Semper Tyranus

If it were only that simple. Obama is more like a Fascist, a believer in a corporate state based on an alliance between finance capital, governmental bureaucracies , and labor unions, which he presides over as supreme leader. But the Republican party is hardly less statist. When during the negotiations over the “fiscal cliff” did you hear a Republic protest: But it is the people’s money you are talking about here!”

So now we have to listen to lectures about “extreme fears” from the same people who thought the government was behind the 911 attacks?

check out their homepage, it's in Idaho

THE CITADEL

castle tower

The Citadel is evolving as a planned community where residents are bound together by:

The Citadel is not your typical planned community where the developer's objective is selling cookie-cutter homes at the highest possible profit-margin.

The Citadel is not profit-driven. The Citadel is Liberty-driven: specifically Thomas Jefferson's Rightful Liberty.

Marxists, Socialists, Liberals and Establishment Republicans will likely find that life in our community is incompatible with their existing ideology and preferred lifestyles.

DESCRIPTION: The Citadel Community will house between 3,500 and 7,000 patriotic American families who agree that being prepared for the emergencies of life and being proficient with the American icon of Liberty — the Rifle — are prudent measures. There will be no HOA. There will be no recycling police and no local ordinance enforcers from City Hall.

LOCATION: We are in the process of selecting the ideal location among the beautiful mountains of Idaho in the American Redoubt.

PROJECT LAUNCH: We plan to purchase land for the Citadel in 2013 and break ground soon after. Even before unveiling our national advertising campaign, more than 200 families reserved space within our community!

WHY APPLY FOR RESIDENCE: If living in an affordable, safe, well-prepared, patriotic community where your children will be educated in school rather than indoctrinated, consider the Citadel. Approved applicants receive a Lifetime Lease (paid off in only 30 years). No credit check. No background check. Zero down payment. Zero interest. Zero property taxes.

HOW TO APPLY: Simply read through the information here on our website. If you believe the Citadel is ideal for you and your family, complete our application. More of your questions may be answered at our blog.

HOUSING DETAILS: All homes will be built of poured concrete for exceptional strength and durability. Your home will be built to your specs (details available at this website) with utilities stubbed to the interior. You select the facade for the exterior of your home. You are responsible for completing the interior of your home as you wish. You may choose to do the work yourself, or hire contractors. But every single detail, from paint to tiles to counters, is your choice.

If Liberty has been missing from the life of your family, consider the Citadel for your new home.

The *only* inflammatory rhetoric that has been in the media about the Connecticut tragedy is from leftists, like the Partisan Media Shill urinalist who shilled that swill. Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.

How on God's green Earth can you have a rational discussion with anyone who hears every thing you say as a string of “code words” which only he seams to be able to interpret?

The lefties are getting such a kick out of their Dear Reader terrorizing American-Americans. Lefties have a unquenchable blood lust. Too bad they have yet to figure out it is their own blood they are lusting after.

That is the problem with air brushing history. The minons don’t know what’s comming to THEM.

“Using the word “dictates” is a subtle, but intentional, effort to frame the president as dangerous.”

Its not a subtle reference at all and you’re damn right its intentional. We call it as we see it. Your President IS dangerous and shows no regard for the Constitution. When the revolution does come, better believe you lefty propagandists are going to be held accountable.

Shoot once and go home.

There is a movie, "Air Asia", that has a rather poignant opening scene that has stuck in my memory.
A native, Lao/Cambody/ who knows, is peacefully walking on a path and comes to an open field. As he is strolling along with his very very old rifle on his shoulder, a cargo plane from the war comes down his valley interrupting his peaceful walk. He causally unshoulders his old rifle and just points it at the a/c as it flies overhead. Not really aiming...just a shot in the air. The plane goes on and he continues his unhurried his walk. Just like he and his people have done for 1 thousand years. The camera pans up to the departing a/c and it shows smoke beginning to stream out from one of the engines.

The significance of that small action of civil disobedience by that lone person on that jungle path has never left me.

Shoot once and go home.

gun confiscation, widespread civil instability, a tyrannical government

Gun confiscation: what several Democrats like Gov. Cuomo have outrightly expressed.

Widespread civil instability: what Lefty groups like Occupy Wall Street advocate, Black-on-White sucker punch assaults, flash mob robberies, Chicago's murder rate.

Tyrannical government: YES to universal background checks but NO to voter ID, YES to assault weapons for Mexican drug cartels but NO for the American people, YES to Executive Privilege to avoid explaining Fast-n-Furious, NO to enforcing immigration laws, YES to healthcare you may not need or want but NO to high capacity magazines you may need or want.

Mordor-on-the-Potomac has NO MORAL AUTHORITY to lecture the American People on gun control.

Most recent example is Jamie Fox talking about killing all the white people.
He apparently forgets that he and his bros are 12 to 15% of the population. That was, of course, before the latest body count from Chicag0 and Detroit where his bros mostly kill one another.
You suppose if we wait long enough, they’ll solve the problem of Obama’s dividing us by race by eliminating themselves?
Gosh, they might even get to Ob...

So the New York Times now thinks the truth is actually some code word.

No, no -- they know the difference, and that the Tea Partiers are right. They're just "on message" and blowing propaganda out there, creating the Orwellian "New America".
