What happened with the Rep from Texas that was going to push for impeachment if Obama issued his 19 EOs?

Well he issued 23 I'm pretty sure. Did I miss something or was this just another GOP pretend to have guts moment?

RE :”Did I miss something or was this just another GOP pretend to have guts moment?”

They are the pretend party. I guess their primary voters love that.

Besides. Did any of the EOs actually do anything?

Yes, thanks, that sounds right but I don’t think he’s from Texas. Not sure but I don’t think so.

Stockman - He is one of the few with a backbone.

I think we can all agree that Obama walked back from the edge when he issued his press release/ signed his orders.

The worst parts were vague (background check upgrades), and what Obama did not do was the real story. (No import bans, no administrative changes to NFA, making semi-autos equal to full autos, which was floated)

I’d say Stockman deserves a ‘thank you.’

So much for Okie smarts.
Louie represents East Texas, not the “hill country”. You are dead-on otherwise. Louie quit school on account of recess, he just don’t play.

Don’t remember hearing anything saying he was going to file for impeachment, although he damn well might.

The 2nd Amendment overpowered the WhiteyHut yesterday. Just the thought of 100 million armed patriots was enough to get the indo-kenyan queer and his joker plugs to blinking like they were in a sand storm.

Obama's dog & pony show didn't 'affect' anything...

Not blatantly altering gun ownership, but he's setting the stage to have political opponents' mental health questioned.

BTW, don't you think O is a better gun salesman that practically anybody? He sure has boosted that sector of America's economy.

We didn’t “win” yesterday - both sides are regrouping for counterattacks. The only way to “win” to get each and every gun control law repealed in the entire US, from the city/county level on up.

Don’t let down your guard, as these sneaky bastards will hit us all when we least expect it. And there’s no such thing as a ‘fair fight’.

Exactly.

There has to be an executive order that causes an impeachable event/law/action.

This [confinskating the guns of lawabiding citizens] is one thing that obama do as he said he would.

The old saying, “Money talks and bullshit walk” can best be applied to those politicians who claim to be on our side.

In other words, our fate is in our hands. We stand alone, and politically we are on our own.

"Louie represents East Texas, not the “hill country”. "

Thanks for helping me out on that one. It must be that his accent sounds more "hill country" to me than east Texas, (I have some experience with both), so I suppose you're right and that shows how much I know. Thanks again for being cool about it.

" Don’t remember hearing anything saying he was going to file for impeachment"

Split hairs much?

I didn't say that he did say such a thing. I said that he said that if 0 were to issue certain illegas EO's "It would be an impeachable offense." See post 33, right from the top.

That wasn't really my point anyway - My point was that the congressman from Texas referred to by the OP was Rep. Gohmert, and the reason we've heard nothing more from him is because, as others have pointed out on this thread, 0 backed off in the face of opposition - not because the good congressman chickened out as the OP would otherwise have people believe.

Thanks again for your help. Gotta go to work.

Gohmert actually represents the district in NE Texas in the Longview/Tyler area. John Carter is the conservative that represents the Williamson County area of the hill country you are probably thinking of.

You are right - we didn’t ‘win’ yesterday, but while staying vigilant, it does us good to take small comfort that obozo has to give up his threat of ‘executive orders’ to dismantle second amendment.

If we keep it up, forcing him to retreat here and there, he will become a lame duck ‘usurper’....

Even small wins will help us win the ultimate battles

It will take years to undo all the destruction they have heaped upon us.
