A company named Blueseed is a year away from offering entrepreneurs an inexpensive place, near Silicon Valley, in which to develop their products.

"Blueseed will station a ship 12 nautical miles from the coast of San Francisco, in international waters. The location will allow startup entrepreneurs from anywhere in the world to start or grow their company near Silicon Valley, without the need for a U.S. work visa. The ship will be converted into a coworking and co-living space, and will have high-speed Internet access and daily transportation to the mainland via ferry boat. So far, over 1000 entrepreneurs from 60+ countries expressed interest in living on the ship."

Here is a sampling of images from their page of Concept Vessels.

Who's Going to Blueseed?

Blueseed will be welcoming 1171 entrepreneurs from 368 startups in 66 countries.

Dems ARE big business just as Repubs are - ever hear about Nancy Pelosi’s tuna plant ?

Both parties in Congress are beholden to big financial interests; Dems being “against” business is a lie they tell their “rank and file”.

They may go through motions as a “show”, but they’ll conveniently announce their inspector’s entrance at the front door with a delay in getting to the back door so their big supporters have time to “relocate”, i.e., switch to the “new strategy”.

Your exactly right PieterCasparzen and that is what many Republicans, conservatives, or whatever they want to call themselves don’t get. That is why Obama can rant about the rich and get away with it. Because there is a grain of truth to what he says (just a grain). And if people don’t wake up soon, where going to be stuck with these clowns for a long time.
Democrats are what they accuse others of being.

Better to run a business in your own town or city. And network with other God-fearing Americans - and promote them owning their own businesses.

Keep going.

Eventually, YOUR GROUP will be the “powers that be” in your town or city.

The reason I excluded Republicans from my comment is that it is the liberals, mostly democrats, that control the regulatory bureaucracy. If Obama orders this ship boarded, it will happen immediately. If say GWB or any republican would give that order, the liberal bureaucrats would be throwing sand in the gears of the bureaucratic machinery to prevent it. That’s the lesson I took from the Valerie Plame Affair.

“What could possibly go wrong?”

Nothing. The Russians will hack everybody, and the Chinese will steal everything. Nothing at all ...

The best thing for Detroit would be a hands off attitude. Let them go bankrupt, it is inevitable in any case.

It’s a solution to Obamacare limitations - instead of going overseas for private medical care, just go to a hospital ship in international waters.

“Another one gets anchored off the coast of Miami, with Cuban employees performing various medical procedures for a quarter of what it cost in the states.

The US won’t be able to control them or tax them.”

It’ll get torpedoed by the US medical industry.

Floating offshore TV stations would be nice, since 85 of the 90 channels I currently pay for completely suck.

As you well know, about a million things. Most likely outcome is they get it fired up and running smoothly and the monster with the insatiable appetite will devour them by changing the rules.

God bless the USA

Once ObamaCare is fully implemented we are likely to see huge floating private hospitals off both U.S. coasts.

Who do they pay taxes to?

To their flag of convenience. This will likely be Panama, Cayman Islands, or Liberia.

Those who come out from Silicon Valley to work will naturally have to pay taxes to the IRS octopus, as they do no matter where in the world they work.

Those will most likely be floating hospitals not regulating their customers to literal Death.
The only panels regulating there will be deciding which desert will be on the lunch menu.

—— it takes a far smaller percent of revenue to deal with it for big business than it does small business. -——

Doesn’t this level the playing field? Big companies don’t have to get on the boat. This gives start-ups a chance.
