Not sure there is any observable correlation between accidents, deaths, tragedies and whether one is a Christian or not - good Christian or otherwise. We were told life would not be easy for Christians. God gave this world over to Satan and bad things happen to people of all stripes. God can certainly enact judgments but I don’t see how we necessarily know whether a tragedy is caused/influenced by free will, Satan/demons, God’s intervention or combination of these things.
Of course all of you "God's judgement natural disaster" types are strangely silent when much of Joplin Missouri (overwhelmingly Republican) gets leveled by a Tornado, Alabama gets hit by the largest known tornado outbreak in history, and the coast of Mississippi is vaporized by Katrina.
But then when one house falls in the sea in a landslide in Washington state it's suddenly "God's Judgement" because the county where it happened is Democrat.

As much as this woman fights the good fight against the moslems and their infiltration into the country, I’m gonna give her a pass on this. She was speaking at a prayer meeting—not a presser.
