A Constitution not followed is worse than no Constitution at all. For it has now just a fig leaf for the statist to do as they please, unrestrained. The declaration of Independence has lost its meaning in this statist Thugocracy . It isn't all Lincoln's fault, he just showed future Presidents how to wield unrestrained power. The Constitution isn't a suicide pact. I want any state(s) to assert its Independence so I can go there, as long as they shore up all the loop holes in the current constitution.

Shore up what????? I think you're mixing your metaphors. Wouldn't you want to plug all the loopholes and not shore them up?
