President Obama may think the dispute over his handling of Benghazi is a sideshow, but his remarks Monday at the joint press briefing with British Prime Minister Cameron are evidence that his administration misled the American people and is trying to do so even today.
For example, in just one paragraph consisting of two sentences, Mr. Obama contradicted himself twice. Mid-way through one his lengthy non-answer, the president said:
Keep in mind, by the way, these so-called talking points that were prepared for Susan Rice five, six days after the event occurred pretty much matched the assessments that I was receiving at that time in my presidential daily briefing. And keep in mind that two to three days after Susan Rice appeared on the Sunday shows, using these talking points, which have been the source of all this controversy, I sent up the head of our National Counterterrorism Center, Matt Olsen, up to Capitol Hill and specifically said it was an act of terrorism and that extremist elements inside of Libya had been involved in it.
Lets unpack these two sentences.
Says the man who put Obama in office.
Maybe I should just pack up and go home. Golly.
We need all the help we can get with the Benghazi pile-on.
Tokyo Rove positioning himself to be Zero’s next IRS Commissioner ?
Obama’s Benghazi woes won’t end unless he comes clean——I have a better chance of running through hell in gasoline underwear.
I’m not holding my breath - for Obama to come clean or Rove to shut up.
The White House is now calling the assault on the American diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya, a terrorist attack.
It is self-evident that what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack, the White House press secretary, Jay Carney, told reporters aboard Air Force One on Thursday. Our embassy was attacked violently and the result was four deaths of American officials.
Until now, White House officials have not used that language in describing the assault.
Good catch on Rove's part. Even the NYT said Obama didn't say it was a terror attack until Sept. 20
Real significant damage will not come to Obama unless a John Dean type emerges from his inner circle and tells all. Otherwise it may get interesting but it won’t be an end game for the vile Obama administration. Unfortunately doubt there will be such a person coming forward. Democrats are basically thugs without a conscience. Perjury means nothing to them.
Well - this could send this president packing - impeachment isn't out of the question, and could take place - that is, if the RINO's can find their spine.
He’s not even a good liar, not like Billary, but given that his MSM protection team is so intellectually and ethically impoverished, it hardly matters.
You may be right (media have his back) - but, it could get pretty hot where he lives.
Nothing’s going to rile up the peasantry to grab their pitchforks and go after Obama nearly as effectively as encouragement from Karl Rove.
Rove did nothing. Some Libertarians are the lefts best friend. You assist in the divide and conquer they dwell off of.
Eh ?
Why did Hillary and Obama use hard-earned American tax dollars to make a commercial for the Middle East apologizing for that baloney video when they KNEW that video had nothing to do with the attack in Benghazi? I believe using taxpayer money in a political coverup is a felony. By golly, I would call that a “high crime”, requiring impeachment to adjudicate it.
I believe that if hussein “came clean” on Benghazi - told the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth - he’d soon find himself in prison.
I think it won’t be over until Zer0 becomes articulate.
I believe he’d find himself swinging at the end of a fancy rope. Aiding and abetting the enemies of the US IS treason.
