I think the old time Dems in DC are ready to put Biden in as POTUS. Time will tell.
Parsing semantics
Remember the line that initial reports indicated ansar al-sharia took responsibility but later denied involvement?
Todays document dump indicates the group has since released that the leadership did not order the attacks, but did not deny that some of its members were involved.
FOX NEWS Oct. 24, 2012
SOURCES SAY COUNTER-TERROR CHIEF
REPRIMANDED FOR CALLING LIBYA ATTACK ‘TERROR’
WHITE HOUSE DENIES
Congressional sources tell Fox News that a top administration counterterrorism official was reprimanded by the White House last month after he testified that the Sept. 11 attack in Libya was terrorism.
The White House and the official are pushing back on the claim. But the allegation would appear to raise questions about recent administration statements that they were labeling the attack terrorism from the start.
Sources told Fox News that, in fact, the White House was unhappy with Matt Olsen, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, after his Sept. 19 comments, and told him to tone it down afterward.
Olsen had told a Senate committee, in reference to the four Americans killed in the attack: “They were killed in the course of a terrorist attack on our embassy.”
Have more faith in the Reps. The MSM owned by Obama has covered his ass. Both CBS and ABC presidents have relatives working for Obama. The term RINO is degrading. Using that term only further divides.
“Tokyo Rove positioning himself to be Zeros next IRS Commissioner “
Why the smart ass comment?
Because for that phony, corpulent moron who has done so much to advance the cause of Socialism while allegedly claiming to be a “Conservative Republican”, it’s well deserved. Where have you been for the last decade ?
Wrong for several reasons:
* Hillary has been playing this game for 40 years and knows that all they have to do is deflect and stall until it's all forgotten.
*The media will NEVER turn on Obama.
*Liberals will accept any behavior from one of their own.
*Obama has pigmentation immunity.
*Hillary has gender immunity.
*The people who elected him don't give a rip about four Americans being murdered in Benghazi.
*The people who elected him are not concerned about IRS intrusion, they are looking forward to the IRS control of Obamacare.
*The media wants America 'transformed' into Obama's socialist dream they will do all they can to protect him because they created him.
Karl Rove is not a socialist. Libertarians get confused.
You’re deeply confused, sir. Or did you not see the motley crew of Socialist RINOs for office this bloated imbecile touted, my Senator amongst them ? Pimps and apologists for Tokyo Rove are not going to be well regarded on this website.
Maybe not, but I'm pretty sure at least a couple of them will be well remunerated!
Yes. Apparently Brother Lumper doesn’t think we should fight the RINO breed, but embrace them because they’re “not a Democrat.” What is a RINO but an insidious cancer that seeks to destroy the Conservative cause from within the GOP and advance the Socialist/Marxist Democrat agenda ? Brother Lumper’s Rovian hero the epitome of that.
And from Wiki:
In his September 18 appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, President Obama said that "extremists and terrorists used (the anti-Muslim YouTube video) as an excuse to attack a variety of our embassies." In his Univision Town Hall appearance on September 20, President Obama said that the "natural protests that arose because of the outrage over the video were used as an excuse by extremists to see if they can also directly harm U.S. interests." A later report from an independent review board concluded "there was no protest prior to the attacks."And then this:On September 16 the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice appeared on five major interview shows to discuss the attacks. Prior to her appearance, Rice was provided with "talking points" from a CIA memo,...
Using these talking points as a guide, Rice stated:
Based on the best information we have to date, what our assessment is as of the present is in fact what began spontaneously in Benghazi as a reaction to what had transpired some hours earlier in Cairo where, of course, as you know, there was a violent protest outside of our embassysparked by this hateful video. But soon after that spontaneous protest began outside of our consulate in Benghazi, we believe that it looks like extremist elements, individuals, joined in that-- in that effort with heavy weapons of the sort that are, unfortunately, readily now available in Libya post-revolution. And that it spun from there into something much, much more violent." "We do not-- we do not have information at present that leads us to conclude that this was premeditated or preplanned.""I think it's clear that there were extremist elements that joined in and escalated the violence. Whether they were al Qaeda affiliates, whether they were Libyan-based extremists or al Qaeda itself I think is one of the things we'll have to determine."
In a White House press briefing on September 18, press secretary Jay Carney explained the attack to reporters: "Im saying that based on information that we our initial information, and that includes all information we saw no evidence to back up claims by others that this was a preplanned or premeditated attack; that we saw evidence that it was sparked by the reaction to this video. And that is what we know thus far based on the evidence, concrete evidence."They were clearly blaming this on the Youtube video, and that there was no planned 911 attack.
The complaints about Obama are worthless when one refuses to vote for the lesser of two evils. Romney and McCain were scorned on this site. We have Obama. Stop this divide and conquer crap.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertarianism
A lesser of two evils is evil. McCain was a ringer for Zero, so was Willard. Opposing these big government Socialists getting ANYWHERE near the Republican nomination was of paramount importance for Conservatives.
At Free Republic, we oppose left-wingers of ALL stripes. Anyone that pimps and cheerleads for left-wingers just because they claim to be “Republicans” have no business here. This is a Conservative website, sir.
S0 “YOU” Speak for Free Republic?
If so, I am through donating to this site.
You seem to think leftism/RINOism in the GOP is A-OK and then attack/criticize others for daring to call out frauds like Tokyo Rove, Willard, McCain, et al, that oppose and stymie the Conservative agenda (and then go on some truly bizarre red herring rant about Libertarians). That’s NOT Conservative, sir. That’s Trojan Horse leftism.
I’ve been here since October 1998, and that’s not what Free Republic stands for. We oppose leftism in ALL forms, regardless of what party tries to foist it. We are NOT a Republican Party website or mouthpiece (and especially not when the party establishment shows a serious lack of committment to smaller government and a pro-Constitutional agenda).
If you need to discuss that with JimRob and explain to him what the agenda you’re pursing here is and that you have a problem with opposing the left-wing agenda if it’s being pushed by “Republicans,” please feel free to.
WE: You post on Nashville building projects -
^As for Cooper, his district was not really changed at all with the last redistricting. There was a plan to split Davidson County several ways and attach them to the surrounding suburban districts, but it would be risky for Republicans in a bad year (such as 2006) and could result in the Dems capturing the seats. The TN GOP played it safe and kept the delegation status quo (7R-2D) for what they won in 2010. About the only Republican with a remote shot of winning the 5th would be Speaker Harwell, though she has made no move (since she remains more influential in her current job).
Cooper’s problem is that he is someone who tries to have it both ways, he tries to portray himself as a fiscal conservative (which is ludicrous when you look at his voting record, especially his vote for the trillion-dollar porkulus). He’ll support porkulus, but he can’t even land us the courthouse. If Bob Clement were still in Congress, we’d probably have gotten the CH by now (though I’ll readily admit I loathe that suburban hotel design).
As for Fleischmann in TN-3, unless he’s beaten in the GOP primary, he’s not going anywhere. Same probably goes for Cooper (unless he’s beaten in a Dem primary).
I live in Hermitage.
You act like the political expert of TN.
So, Why don’t you stop the we BS?
Yes, because I live in Nashville and am interested in local urban development. That isn't a secret.
=snip UP post=
OK, that's my post from Urban Planet discussing TN redistricting and House elections in response to posts made by others there. What does this have to do with the discussion at hand and your pimping and serving as an apologist for Rove and RINOs ? You're a very odd and strange individual.
"You act like the political expert of TN."
Yes. Because I am. I've studied my home state for years, and that of many others. How about you ? What's your agenda besides defending Tokyo Rove, Willard and McCain, the sellouts of the Conservative cause ?
"So, Why dont you stop the we BS?"
You got called out, Lump. Whining about it and trying to make the discussion about me when you exposed yourself is being a tad disingenuous.
I now know an EXPERT. I can see why Karl Rove ticks you off. THE END.
