Jay Leno Tears Into Obama Scandals: ‘Remember When His Biggest Embarrassment Was Joe Biden?’

Jay Leno did not waste anytime before digging into President Obama for his sudden barrage of scandals during his Tonight Show monologue last night. The host tied together the controversies over Benghazi, the IRS targeting conservatives and the Justice Department wiretapping the AP into one larger narrative, asking, “Remember the old days when President Obama’s biggest embarrassment was Joe Biden?”

“They’re warning this could be a long, hot summer,” Leno began, supposedly referring to the California heat wave. “They’re telling everyone to cover up. And believe me, you don’t have to tell the Obama White House twice. They know about covering up. Not a problem.”

He then moved on to the White House’s “latest high-tech weapon: the IRS audit.” Of this scandal, Leno said Obama “called it ‘outrageous’ and he said he would immediately have his Benghazi investigators look into it. We will get to the bottom of this!”(continued)

I wonder if Leno is just reading script, or starting to change his leftist attitude. I doubt a change in philosophy will go over easy at home with his ultra left wife.

Leno is leaving and hates the Obama worshipping executives who control NBC. He is having a very good time annoying them by using his show on NBC to mock Obama.

Since this is his last year, I guess he figures that he’ll go out with a bang as he has been taking a lot of digs at The Won over the past several weeks.

Yep, and lately he's been doing it on a regular basis. Certainly doesn't excuse his previous lack of jabs at Obama, but I'm good with what we can get from those people.

Letterman cracked open the door last night on Obama as well. I don't watch Letterman because I can't tolerate him, but as I was getting ready for bed, he was on the tube and I heard Letterman joking that people asked him why he had never made jokes about the President. Letterman said he was afraid that Obama would get his phone records.

That's really paraphrased, but it's the gist of it. I don't think comedians, who can be equal opportunity clowns have been comfortable at all making fun of the President.

I predict the media will start doing the good cop bad cop and thus start saying the feel sorry for 0bama with all the people around him screwing up.

Bottom line: unless our side’s reps, sens, etc., push for investigations, make lawsuits, there won’t be any impeachment, no anything.

“president teflon will escape into the briar patch...”

Like Bre’r Rabbit?

Those not familiar with the character.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Br’er_Rabbit

Br’er Rabbit, also spelled Bre’r Rabbit or Brer Rabbit or Bruh Rabbit, is a central figure as Uncle Remus tells stories of the Southern United States. Br’er Rabbit is a trickster who succeeds by his wits rather than by brawn, tweaking authority figures and bending social mores as he sees fit. The name “Br’er Rabbit”, a syncope of “Brother Rabbit”, has been linked to both African and Cherokee cultures. The Walt Disney Company later adapted this character for its animated motion picture Song of the South.

The Br’er Rabbit stories can be traced back to trickster figures in Africa, particularly the hare that figures prominently in the storytelling traditions in Western Africa, Central Africa, and Southern Africa. These tales continue to be part of the traditional folklore of numerous peoples throughout those regions. In the Akan traditions of West Africa, the trickster is usually the spider (see Anansi), though the plots of tales of the spider are often identical with those of stories of Br’er Rabbit.[1]
Some scholars have suggested that in the American incarnation, Br’er Rabbit represented the enslaved Africans who used their wits to overcome adversity and to exact revenge on their adversaries, the White slave-owners.[2] Though not always successful, the efforts of Br’er Rabbit made him a folk hero. However, the trickster is a multidimensional character. While he can be a hero, his amoral nature and his lack of any positive restraint can make him into a villain as well.

For both Africans and African Americans, the animal trickster represents an extreme form of behavior which people may be forced to use in extreme circumstances in order to survive. The trickster is not to be admired in every situation. He is an example of what to do, but also an example of what not to do. The trickster’s behavior can be summed up in the common African proverb: “It’s trouble that makes the monkey chew on hot peppers.” In other words, sometimes people must use extreme measures in extreme circumstances.[4]

It was clear, when O won a second term, that his administration would literally be going after his opponents. How he duped so many during his first four years is beyond me.

These people are mad at Obama, not because they’re conservatives, but because he is ineffective in advancing the Leftist agenda.

Hmm, I always thought it was a syncope of Briar Rabbit.

“Some scholars have suggested that in the American incarnation, Br’er Rabbit represented the enslaved Africans who used their wits to overcome adversity and to exact revenge on their adversaries, the White slave-owners.”

Never thought of that either. Leave it up to “scholars” to figure it out.

Me as well. I must say that the last couple of weeks there have been moments when I felt Lady Liberty flexing her muscles and eyeing with harsh contempt the totalitarian posers in Washington. It was like the first whiff of lilacs in the spring when you dare to hope.

Leno has always been pretty socially liberal, but very much a middle of the road guy politically. He is not above taking any pol to task for this type of crap.
