Obama prom pictures surface
CBS News ^ | May 23, 2013 | Kelli Alman

Posted on 05/23/2013 8:17:25 AM PDT by rightwingintelligentsia

More than 30 years after he graduated high school, President Obama's senior prom pictures have emerged in public, featuring the president when he was 17 years old, clad in a white sport coat and a lei, posing for pictures with his friends.

The photos, obtained by TIME, show Mr. Obama, then a student at Punahou School in Hawaii, hanging out with his date Megan Hughes, his friend Greg Orme, and Orme's date Kelli Allman (then McCormack), according to Allman, who provided the photos to TIME.

"It was a really fun, happy time. We were all cracking up, and everyone was smiling," Allman told TIME. "It was pretty typical from there out as far as what happens at prom: the dinner and the dancing and the photos."

I’d swear that looks like someone wrote “you are extremely sweat and foxy”. And why does Greg want to spend time with Barry? I would NEVER have written something like that in a yearbook - ever!

Did she wear a nightgown and negligee to the prom?

I could be mistaken, but isn’t that one of Barry’s fellow Choom Gangers at the left?

Per the yearbook entry - Ah ha, so the “date” WAS just a set up thing.

In almost every picture of him his head usually appears to be larger than anyone else’s, IMO.

Proving that the other pictures are indeed faked.

We had knives in our front pockets, Skoal in the back.

And shotguns in the headache racks, shells rolling around on the floorboard and the pickup windows rolled down in the school parking lot.

Here’s hoping that’s true. Maybe that’s why Moo is spending the summer on Martha’s Vineyard instead of the hut.

Yep. No one thought a thing about guns in car windows. Even though we had well over 1,000 kids in my school and plenty of weapons, no one was ever shot or stabbed.

Because guns weren't the fantasizing taboos they are today. Back then they were no more exciting than a sock. They were merely a tool, not a substitute for cajones.

Makes sense - especially when you read what he wrote in her yearbook. It's painfully void of even a scintilla of sexual attraction; as though it was written by a closeted homosexual intent on fending off the unwanted advances of a teenage girl whose gaydar is broken.

In the photo in post # 1, in addition to Obama's head size appearing much larger than the other three people, there in something strange about what appears to be Obama's left hand resting on the left shoulder of the blonde girl. The hand is too dark in comparison to his facial complexion, the fingers can't be distinguished, and his reach perhaps seems too long in proportion to his size.

All in all, quite suspicious of Photoshopping, especially in view of the fact that other photos of Obama in his younger years had similar anomalies, like the one of him and his maternal grandparents on the park bench in New York.

Is there anything about this man's background that doesn't have to be fudged in some way or another?

First question is where is Barry’s right hand?

On Greg Orme's shoulder, as can be seen in the full-size photo:

I graduated in 1977 in Arkansas. It was 21 by then to drink but we did have a senior smoking area under a tree in front of the school.

The note he wrote to Kelli in the year book looks as though it was written by a right handed person. Obama writes left handed.

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/government-elections-politics/choice-2012/the-frontline-interview-kristen-caldwell/

excerpt:

Describe where you went to school and what it was like and what it looked like, and the time that you spent there.

I went to Punahou School in Honolulu. I was there from kindergarten starting in 1966 through high school, graduating in 1979, along with the president. It’s an amazing school. It’s well known academically and athletically. It’s a beautiful campus in Manoa. It’s on a hill. ...

Tell me a little bit about the reputation. What’s the reputation of the school?

I guess that really depends who you talk to. I think a fair assessment is that it is a very strong school academically and athletically. You’ll hear it referred to I think by some people as the rich-kid haole school, you know, white-kid school, haole slang for Caucasian in Hawaii. It really means foreigner, but —

But it wasn’t that.

But it really isn’t. Exactly, exactly. I think I was one of two Caucasians in my senior calculus class, actually in that class one of two women. She was the other Caucasian, in fact. But a lot of people with different backgrounds. Hawaii has a lot of different backgrounds from influxes — Chinese, Japanese, Filipino — over the years. So my best friend in kindergarten and first grade, one was Japanese, one was Japanese Okinawan and Caucasian. My best friend in seventh, eighth and ninth grade, part Hawaiian Caucasian, 10 through 12 Hawaiian Chinese Caucasian. So we had a lot of mixture. ...

Growing Up Hawaiian

So what do we know about Obama and his background? He wasn’t rich. Would he have needed help? How did he fit into this —

My understanding is that Barry — and that’s what we called him, so I’m not meaning to be disrespectful, but I’m going likely to refer to him as Barry for the most part. My understanding is that Barry was on a scholarship. And a lot of times if you’re on scholarship you had to do some work at the school. You worked in the snack bar...
