She's parsing words. She wasn't asked directly about whether the arms were being directed TO the Syrian Al Qaeda (rebels) or THROUGH Turkey. She narrowly denied TO Turkey.
The fact is that the Benghazi station was NOT a consulate, but an CIA station. Maybe that is why the Republicans are going easy on this.

What type of success might it get against commercial aircraft in their current form...? The Obama Admin does NOT want to talk about this at all.
The CIA wouldn’t give anti-aircraft missiles to the opposition in Libya, so the State Department did? Who was in charge of the State Department then? Hillary Clinton. Can any department of the federal government hand out weapons to foreigners? For example, can the Federal Wildlife Service hand out submarines to somebody in Finland? Is there adult supervision in this Obama administration? Why did Hillary Clinton feel the need to override the CIA in Libya? Is she that arrogant? Or is she that greedy? Follow the money. She’s receiving at least $14,000,000 from a book publisher to write another book? Bulls**t! She’s getting paid off! She has more blood on her hands than that piece of s**t. In London.
“Gun running” is an incorrect term. Gun running implies the sale of weapons for personal profit. This was not what was happening in Libya. The money from gun running is peanuts to the Clintons, Obama and Soros. I think we need a new phrase. Let’s call it “GOVERNMENT CHANGE FOR PERSONAL PROFIT”. The Democrats yammered about Iran/Contra for years, but everybody knew that was about defeating the communists in our back yard. This...this killing in the Middle East for profit? How do the Democrats justify that? Our President and Secretary of State can be bought? It’s OK for the Democrats to use American taxpayer paid Soldiers and weapons in Libya to overthrow the Libyan government for a payday for the Democrats? Now, do you see why that are fighting so hard to keep the focus off Libya? It can kill the Democrat party.

If this is true, and the the Obama administration provided Stinger missiles (or weapons of any kind) to Al-Qaeda, this would be the equivalent of FDR providing weapons to the Nazis during WW II. How will the Dems spin that one?

Jennifer Griffin reported again yesterday what was discussed on FR over a month ago. Obama allowed the Muslim Brotherhood and their al quaeda pals access to 20,000 manpads, one man anti-aircraft, shoulder-fired missiles with capabilities of defeating current commerical counter-measures. I know the article is here on Free Republic because I participated in the discussion....and I think Lancey did, and I think you did too. (See below)
The American special operators, Woods, Doherty and at least two others were part of the Global Response Staff, a CIA element, based at the CIA annex and were protecting CIA operators who were part of a mission to track and repurchase arms in Benghazi that had proliferated in the wake of Muammar Qaddafi's fall. Part of their mission was to find the more than 20,000 missing MANPADS, or shoulder-held missiles capable of bringing down a commercial aircraft. According to a source on the ground at the time of the attack, the team inside the CIA annex had captured three Libyan attackers and was forced to hand them over to the Libyans. 20,000 missing manpads can bring commercial air traffic to a halt, just about world wide.
THIS is what Obama is trying to hide. It is plausible to assume THIS is what led to NO rescue for these men, and why they were WANTED dead.

I recall that during this arming of Libyan rebels many of us here at FR were quite angry and cautioning about the foolhardiness of that action since it was clear that AlQ was clearly part of the “rebels”. I am getting more confident that we were accurate, unfortunately.
Again, this is something that the administration does not dare to breath a word about.
