That is exactly what he is. I find him barely human.

As the late Fred Honzberger of KDKA said “We have to pretend that we’re not looking for the people that we’re looking for”.

It sickens me to admit that you're correct. I'd guess within 20 yrs we'll see the first step of overt control, as you described.
I left the (relatively) socialist shores of New Zealand about 10 years ago. I never thought that I would second guess my choice - but the degree of fascism that has emerged (or has been revealed) since then has me pondering a return to what is clearly a lesser of two evils. They have higher taxes and a ‘bigger government’, but AFAIK they don't consider Tea Party type folks an existential threat.
BTW, FU Dick Cheney. I wish you would wipe the arse of every paralyzed serviceman at least once daily.

I may be a newbie around here. But I have NEVER bad mouthed nor will I ever bad mouth Ronald Reagan, John Kennedy, Dwight D Eisenhower or Harry Truman.

The problem is that the political elites have sold the country out.

Bush absolutely squandered his presidency and a brief majority in both houses.

Debt is growing out of control. The unemployment number is a big lie because SSI disability has been used to mask unemployment while lowering the worker participation rate.

Clowns like Rubio and Paul talk of a path to citizenship may be the noble thing to do, but there is nothing noble about a path to citizenship of over one thousand pages written by every Democratic special interest in the country.

Republicans are intellectually bankrupt. Romney gave a speech to accept the nomination in which he talked about how his daddy laid a rose at his mother's bedside every morning. The same daddy who was born in Mexico and was so dishonest or so stupid that he attempted to run for POTUS. Read Reagan's acceptance speeches, he loved his family just as much as Mittens but did not gush about them when accepting the nomination for the highest office in the free world. Mittens deserved every bit of ridicule that he received on this forum.

The elites of both parties deserve to be slammed and scorned, they have bankrupted the country and do not offer one new idea of how to get it back on track.

Can hardly believe people are complaining about being spied on....my gosh it’s been going on for ever

Fighting Tyranny by imposing even worse Tyranny is evil.

Doesn't anybody remember that America morphing into a Tyrannical police state is precisely one of the things we were trying to avoid when we began fighting the War On Terror?

Those who trade essential Liberty for a little temporary safety deserve neither.

Maybe you don't give a sh!t about the Fourth Amendment. Maybe other Americans don't give a sh!t about the First, Second, Fifth, etc. Can't you see what's happening?

If we allow hysterical fear of terrorism to destroy our Bill Of Rights, we have already lost the War on Terror, because America isn't America any more.

It would be better to lose a dozen American cities to terrorist nukes than to become a totalitarian Police State and fundamentally destroy the Republic.

Huh? Are you serious? What is happening now is orders of magnitude worse than anything in the past.

We are quickly turning into a virtual police state --- IRS harassment, IRS-Obamacare, EPA unleased, DOJ ignoring the criminal left, NSA being transformed to an instrument of the Stasi by the President and his power lusting comrades.

You disgust me with your insulting comment. I strongly believe in our United States Constitution. This Marxist president is destroying the 4th Amendment..

Our Founders would be disgusted with your type -- an arrogant, elitist apologist for those who see to rule us with an iron fist...

You are no friend of Liberty.

I agree. If Cheney truly believes this guy is a traitor, then under what circumstances can a person reveal government spy agency abuses and be sanctified for doing it?

Cheney is a fruit loop on this one IMO.

I ask myself that same question. When I do I have to ask myself a few other questions.

What am I complaining about? Is it justified?

I actually get this charge leveled at me. Aren’t you being too picky? Could anyone ever measure up for you? Don’t you dismiss folks too easily? Aren’t you too critical?

Since it’s fresh on my mind, I’ll address one of my deal breakers here, illegal immigration.

We have laws on our books. Our borders are supposed to be enforced. If we don’t enforce them, we’re essentially a “free for all” nation. It’s all up for grabs for anyone who wants to venture over our border and take advantage of our system.

Can we allow anyone who wants to come here illegally to do so? Is the “American Dream” something we can’t deny anyone no matter what? Should terrorists be able to mingle in with these people, come in and kill as many as they can? Is there a need to control our borders, conduct these matters in a rational methodical method? For me the answer is yes. In fact this is a must.

So when a politician comes along and announces they will grant amnesty or a pathway because they feel sympathy for the illegal, they are also saying they don’t have any concern that terrorists may be in the mix. They are saying they don’t care if our nation is changed forever. They are saying that the good citizens who live by the law and expect others to, are stupid gullible morons who could have done better in life if they didn’t live by the rules.

This is a corrosive, contemptible, mindset, that of capitulating to people who have no respect for us whatsoever. By coming here they have displayed a complete disregard for us. They may also be displaying the fist step in killing off many of us. They most certainly are displaying the attitude they should be able to live off of us, sending their families to our medical centers for free services. They expect to get schooling for free. Many of them don’t pay any taxes at all.

The citizens of this nation are nothing but stooges, if these people can come here, mooch off of us, and in more instances than I care to think about, they actually vote for Democrats who will assist them.

Any government figure who plays into this, is betraying the good citizens of our nation. In a climate where 40 million people are out of work, they actually want to make sure tens of millions of illegals can work here. That is a complete betrayal of citizens. It displays more compassion for aliens than for citizens.

So am I being too picky here? Terrorism, job displacement, theft of government services... when does it end. If we don’t stop it now, when do we?

I don’t ask much.

I ask the government to regulate itself, use good judgment.
I ask the same of myself. Is it too much to ask the government to do the same?
If I’m going to live within my means, shouldn’t the government?
If I must live by rules, shouldn’t the government?
If I must follow rules, should the citizen of other nations be held to account to our rules?

Is this too much to ask? I don’t think so. I don’t think you think so either. So are we being too picky? No. I honestly don’t think so.

We are witnessing a complete collapse of moral integrity.

Does this mean that we should simply accept it, join in and move on? No. We need to call them on it. We need to demand more of these people.

The alternative is to live in a corrupt, police state, where we are the targets of anyone who wants to abuse us.

Don’t advocate for that.

I think most agree and understand your position...the problem is we do not have officials who do more than give us lip service on most issues which concern us as citizens.

So Why do they string us along?????

We object loud and clear and it's acknowledged, often in agreement, but generally stops there other than many meetings...talk talk talk...and it's in that talking the entire issues we are concerned about are ‘molded into something they are not’.

I do believe we ARE now a “free for all” nation....how can it be anything else when our borders have not been, aren't now, and never will be secured....Additionally we are a “lawless” nation because our laws are not enforced with the idea of bringing justice and security...rather they are abused and used to secure “deals”...and this at all levels.

Our laws are simply “guidelines” immigration workers, lawyers, courts etc. use as a “point of reference’ with the idea of how to work around them for the desired end.

Mexico has a huge conglomerate of Attorneys etc. here to defend illegals...bought and paid for by the Mexican Gov. This too is insanity.

So how come this continues? How come they aren't battling for what the people want?

I believe it's because they are operating hand in hand with the Global Agenda which unites Canada, Mexico and the US as one political/trading block...with “Open borders” in order to maximize all three countries on the International Stage....with “One World Governance” over all blocks worldwide now being established.

This is the only reason I can see ....and in the midst of Globalization, politicians are trying to do this with the least opposition from the American people...so they throw us bones and twisted verbal statements just as a parent sticks a pacifier into the mouth of a child.

We want our Independence as a nation...they do not....the decisions being made today are with the Global Agenda in mind by our politicians....not with us as a people.

<......”I strongly believe in our United States Constitution”.....>

Of course...we as citizens all do...but it’s clear that our ‘politicians are NOT operating from that perspective’, though they frequently give lip service to it when it’s what they know we need to hear....but enforcing it is not happening......Why?.... That question needs to be answered.

The fact is ‘O’ and his administration has the wheel. They won...so of course they are going to push their agenda and we knew that they would....

....The other fact is our Representitives are doing precious little to push back and in fact agreeing with that agenda in far to many areas....again.... Why?

As for spying....good grief ALL Governments Worldwide have been doing this for eons...we know it and so do they. And equally as much citizens have been spied on...You don’t think this should be so...most don’t..but you cannot go anywhere today without being followed.

Security cameras are everywhere..from the streets into most buildings ....Every purchase is known and paints a picture of who you are the moment you use a credit card or open a bank account....You get gas they can tell where you’ve been....you order Am*o they know you have a g*n. You buy groceries...they know what you eat....look at your receipt..it lists everything!...and the lists of “tracking” go on and on.

Soo....in comes the Internet and technology and people knew the Internet is NOT secure..... All know that anything you put there is in full view of the World wide audiance....and certainly any within the NSR ..FBI etc. You’re WILLINGLY GIVING THAT INFORMATION TO ANY WHO WANT IT. Read some of those site agreements people are so quick to check...

I choose BTW to overlook your insults....we are all upset that the reality of how our nation is run, what they are doing to our nation,..IS heartbreaking and making many of us angry..........but I see or hear anybody with the answer on ‘how’ to stop this....let alone the ability and resources to do so.........We lost our privacy long ago.

Well, that’s as good a reason as I can come up with. I don’t know what else to attribute it to.

We can search and search for the answers but I believe the truth will always now be a masked hidden agenda...because this nation is ‘willing’ to believe a lie and ripe for it.

I also think the reasons things are happening so quickly is because though technology has equipped the Gov. to do what they are doing...but it also equips us to find the truth...so they have to move quickly.

Unfortunately we are “hearing” what they are doing after the fact...and they are already ahead to the next by the time we have details...then the discussions, shock, investigations etc. follow...but they are already ahead of the game...this just occupies us and gives them time to move on their current trajectory...we are always bringing up the rear.

There you go....

Bush and Cheney had all the goods on Obama in 2007. They could have stopped an avowed enemy but did not do so.

Spoke with a friend of mine ,out of state, last night. She is just beginning to come to grips with the fact our nations leaders are operating on a different platue then where we are.....and it isn’t about us...rather the Global Agenda moving fast now.

Her bank just had a major employees shift...some fired others let go without specific reasons. Others moved to different positions etc. She was livid for the ‘unfairness’ of it all.

Trying to explain to her that jobs etc. are no longer determined as we once knew.. was difficult...the thinking decisions , and actions today are not based on the “system” we have known....further trying to explain the Global Banking systems agenda and getting Banks positioned for that means they will be looking for people based on “other” requirements then the ability to do the job well or history of...and people will be “moved” from being in one position for very long.

So yes, Worldwide leaders, governments, companies etc. all that’s a part of the Globalist Agenda..will move with co-operation or without it. And there is nothing to stop it now....short of God ‘s intervention but I believe He’s allowing all this for what is to come.
