Immigration bill could decide 2016, senator says

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republicans' hopes to reclaim the White House in the 2016 elections hinge on whether they support — or sabotage — the immigration overhaul being debated in the Senate, two lawmakers who helped write the proposal warn.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on Sunday told conservatives who are trying to block the measure that they will doom the party and all but guarantee a Democrat will remain in the White House after 2016's election. Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., went a step further and predicted "there'll never be a road to the White House for the Republican Party" if immigration overhaul fails to pass.

"I would tell my Republican colleagues, both in the House and the Senate, that the road to the White House comes through a road with a pathway to legalization," Menendez said. "Without it, there'll never be a road to the White House for the Republican Party."

Chuck Schumer is evil and Bob Menendez is a child molester. Not sure why anyone would want to be associated with those two pieces of human garbage.

The Stupid Party strikes again.

What happened to doing what was best and what was right for our country? Elections? Shouldn’t they be an afterthought?

We don’t need them. They need us. They need to be taught this lesson.
Having Menendez agreeing with Graham should tell every conservative, everyone who votes our way, that the party is leading us down a primrose path.

Hey i propose right now and maybe put up a vanity-I will vote for nobody nominated by the 2 big parties. If someone steals a nomination from a party backed candidate i will consider them but if we give ourselves idiots like Christine O’Donnell i’m passing on her too.
Victory, henceforth, will only be achieved by winning with a candidate we can back. (i’m no 100%er btw).

It's all about the $$$ in cheap labor for the GOP-e chamber of commerce types.

This is the only thing that makes some sense. But the GOPe crowd doesn't realize that a permanent redistributive majority is going to seize any profits they make from the cheap labor anyway. And they will lose the most of their rights to an even more oppressive federal bureaucratic monster. And the GOP itself will implode when the conservative base walks.

They don’t even want to talk about securing the border.

A global Caliphate cannot happen without the destruction of the US economy, so as to knock us down to the level of all the other socialist countries.

Of course the border must be left open to obtain their objective.

Do they really believe that the future of the GOP hinges on moving the party further to the left to attract progressive voters will help put Republicans back in power? Dumb as a post!!!!!

Not dumb. Not dumb at all.

Just further proof of the globalist / Saudi / left takeover of the Republican party.

Grahamnesty is such a disingenuously dishonest weasel he is not even worth debating. He is doing everything he can do to help Obama while making believe he is critical of him.
Thanks for the advice Menendez, I am sure you have the best interests of the GOP at heart.

There never will be another Republican president. That's not because Republicans failed to embrace illegal immigration amnesty, it's because Republicans failed to speak out against massive, culture changing immigration post-1965. The Liberal wing of the Democrat party knew that they couldn't change how the people thought, so they sought to change the people. It worked.

When California was a predominantly white state it was Republican. Now the California is a multicultural mess it's solidly Democrat.

Likewise Texas is becoming increasingly Hispanic and increasingly Democrat. Once Texas flips, perhaps as early as 2016, the Republican shot at the White House is dead, and America is probably dead too.

They just don't GAF. It's the way they think. They've got their bazillions, enough to own the GOPe, and their interests are that they protect their capital while preventing the ascendancy of anyone else to wealth, thus destroying the middle class.

The difference they see between us and uh, "the undocumented" is either an obsequious, motivated workforce who can "live cheap" by our standards, or Americans, with all our flaws.

The conviction and execution of the Lerner woman for crimes against the Republic will trump the immigration madness.

The deaths of the convicted IRS criminals will strike fear into all Americans that will insist on a through cleansing of the body politic and body buracrats.

If the IRS executions don’t take place, the immigration stuff doesn’t matter any way. The Republic is lost.
