Budget/Taxes cut the budget to the projected tax revenues if the 2014 tax rev. projection is 3 trillion then reduce across the board to spend only what is received
Debt Apply the reduced debt service amounts from balancing the budget to the debt
Economy Suspend all regs and taxes for biz smaller than 100 employees or 5 million gross rev.
Healthcare defund and eliminate the PCA (obamacare) go to pay for service medicine. Encourage docs and clinics to offer reduced or pro bono care to the poor and indigent
Foreign Affairs/Policy You mess with the USA you die, you aid and protect the USA you receive funds and friendship. The GWOT is only over when radical Islamists surrender on the deck of big Mo in Pearl Harbor
Immigration All are welcome from anywhere after they are sponsored by a natural born citizen, or an employer. All illegal/visa overstays go home and get in the back of the line and apply
DOMA Marriage is between a man and a woman, all others are civil unions
Patriot Act Its got to go or be constrained extensively
17th Amendment/10th Amendment States are source of sovereignty and Fed must be reduced. Only enumerated powers per constitution, no GWC silliness or IC silliness
Marriage, like abortion, is in the purview of state’s power. You will not find either mentioned in the U.S.Constitution.
We must be careful not to become like the Democrat Party, always trying to impose upon the Federal government issues that are NOT among the powers constitutionally granted to the Feds.

I have a few
1) Rick Perry’s foreign aid model, in which every nation will have to provide adequate reason for why we should send them a single dime. Pakistan and others do not deserve our money.
2) Planned Parenthood should be defunded. States like North Dakota should be allowed to regulate abortion as they see fit, leading up to the eventual outlawing of the practice nationwide.
3) Defund and shut down DOE, EPA, DOL, IRS and the GSA.
4) Put into place criminal penalties for invasion of computer and phone privacy of American citizens without a specific warrant.
5) End all grants and subsidies to phony research organizations like the APA.
And finally
6) DEFUND the UN. Let Norway pay for it

FRiends, please stop and think HARD about this thread. I would propose putting this thread aside for current comments until we’ve all had enough time to think this through.
We FReepers ARE a political movement, whether we want to admit it or not. We’re on the vanguard of conservative — maybe capital C type conservative — thought and we must not waste our shot.
For this reason, a FReeper Platform is a very, very important thing. We voice the conservative populace better than most places so we MUST voice it correctly.
I would ask the mods and admins to hold this thread in abeyance for several weeks, but with reminders that we need to write this platform carefully, for the good of the nation.
Democrats are mostly communists; we know that. Republican elites are just Democrat-Lite, in favor of bigger government, more control over the peasants and crony capitalism for their pals. Conservatives are a beaten-down minority that USUALLY espouses the Constitutional and limited-government positions that Republicans once held sacred. Then there are the FReepers.
Do you see now why “our” platform is exceedingly important and must not be wasted on snide sniping and humorous comments? This is big stuff, folks!
In other words, maybe WE are the political party we’ve been waiting for!

The very reason we are in such bad shape is that we try to act like aristocrats and the landed gentry rather than the rednecks and ruffians that founded this God blessed nation. So we go PC rather than have a free for all and let the cream rise and the cow poo sink? I started this as a conversation, not all comments will be helpful but all comments will help.

America buys stuff from everywhere.
China doesn’t. China makes stuff. In a few years, China has caught America and is now poised to pass us internationally.
Some say, it has already happened.
We don’t compete against an international rival by sending more American industry to el-cheepo, or worse to China, and laying off yet more Americans.
Bring back American industry now.

THE JOB AND COUNTRY YOU SAVE MAY BE YOUR OWN.
There is only one thing to think about:
There is a segment of the GOP which wants to send American businesses to other countries.
Just as there is a segment of the Democrats which wants to send American businesses to other countries.
There is a segment of America which is sold out to America’s foreign competitors. Unfortunately, those foreign competitors hold (massive) spots making goods for “American” companies.
I am all for bringing American jobs back to America.
The problem is, America has been sending American jobs overseas now for nearly 30 years.
There is a complete generation, which is sold on “America last”.
That is a very major problem.
Even many Republicans, are not currently supporting American products.
China has a huge, huge jump on us at the moment.
The Chinese are facing an implosion in their economy. We sell more high end manufactured goods to them and they sell us plastic toys with lead at Christmas. We are in fair shape they are totally hosed.
I disagree.
China is ruling the trade with America. And taking control of the international markets.
China is in the drivers seat right now.
We need to be (far) more concerned with trade. Both parties are sleeping.
The hype from the US business media isn’t to be trusted or believed. China makes cheap stuff we make airplanes the Chinese milk kills you we now export 11 percent of our dairy production into China.
They are very vulnerable to a credit collapse from thirty years of crappy lending and hidden bad assets

China is a very formidable competitor.
We, have built China into the formidable competitor it is now.
The sooner we begin treating China that way, the better off everyone will be.
I respect Chinese, but also respect Americans, and I see nobody on Americans’ side anymore.
China, America, everyone is on the foreigners’ side.

I think China is far stronger, than you and most people believe, at the moment.
They are a mafia organization and it is showing great duress. I spent the years 2006 to 2012 analyzing the PRC for the DoD. They are a huge pile of steaming crap covered in glossy ads and fake economic data
Well I’d agree, except they make a (lot) of what is sold in America’s stores.
All stores: Big stores. Small stores. The store closest to you. The store across town. You name it...
We have a huge trade deficit with China right now. I seem to be pretty much alone so far, thinking we should do something about that, before it gets even bigger.
