The US had nothing to o with ousting Mubarack or scheduling the election dates in Egypt. Sorry, does not meet the standard for evidence.

That, and zero blackmailed the Egyptian military into accepting the islamo whackos as a valid political party. Unless one is against islam and its tenets, they are for terrorism.

I have not worked with Anne and I am sure she is a nice person who has been feeding at the public trough all her working life, who has served so many different administrations that she certainly has lost whatever scruples she started with, and Hillary, the bonehead politico in charge, put a woman to be the ambassador to a rabid Muslim country. Nice plan. Just retire on a fat government pension already.

She has served in many tough and dangerous posts. She has put her life on the line for her country. What have you done for God and country?

Egypt was not and is not a "rabid Muslim" country. It is one of the reasons that Morsi was tossed out. Secular and Coptic Christian elements are very strong. Have you ever been to Egypt? I have been there almost a dozen times. It is the place in the Arab world that many arabs come to get some R&R from their more restrictive societies.

Why can't we have a woman ambassador to Egypt? Or Pakistan?

In a first, half of Egypt's new diplomats are women

"The number of women working as ambassadresses hit 37, including 15 who are heads of missions abroad (ambassadress or general consul) and 19 who assume leading positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where six ambassadresses assume the position of assistant to the Foreign Minister, one of them is the Assistant to the Foreign Minister for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office."

Thank you. I already know all that though. I’m just trying to find direct evidence that America influenced the election. Thank you though. It’s simply not proof of any collusion on our part and that is what I’m tyring to obtain.

Anne Patterson is being made into the scapegoat.

I agree. I worked for both Amb Patterson and Amb Crocker. While Patterson has strong connections with Hilabeast (I believe they went to school together), and is not of the same metal as Crocker, she is not an unreasonable diplomat. She was dealt a very, very bad hand with no room to maneuver; certainly not with the current administration and the current and former Secretaries of State.

All things considered, she is the wrong person for the job. But so is Kerry, and so is Barky.

The fact is, MB or not, the military got the weapons and did not misuse them.

Our guys knew that their guys needed what was promised.

It as if our military knew of the current events long ago.

The alliance remained on the basis of honor and mutual trust

After I posted, it occurred to me that the term “liberal democrat” is likely to be misunderstood — especially in the U.S. and in countries where “Liberal Democratic” is the name of a political party. I used lower-case, to avoid confusion with actual political parties — but, on reflection, I don’t think that’s enough. In the U.S. “liberal democrat” has come to mean almost exactly the opposite of what I meant by the term. I turned to “Ask.Com” for a definition, that expresses what I meant. Here’s an excerpt:

“Liberal democracy is a form of government in which representative democracy operates under the principles of liberalism. It is characterized by fair, free, and competitive elections between multiple distinct political parties, a separation of powers into different branches of government, the rule of law in everyday life as part of an open society, and the equal protection of human rights, civil rights, civil liberties, and political freedoms for all persons.”

I am aware that we did not cancel the support that we had provided Egypt for 30 years because they FINALLY had a duly elected government after 5000 years of history. Maybe you think that would have been to correct call for America to make. You are likely correct, but I can understand WHY we didn’t do it. Bush would have continued the aid as well I bet. I’m just simply trying to take into consideration the options we had and find proof that Obama helped tip things to Morsi. The support after the fact is not much to hearl at the admin in my opinion. I think any U.S. admin would have done the same.

The fact a woman was sent to an unstable fundamentalist Arab government as Ambassador means the senders were piss poor diplomats. She is an affront.

Don’t go all PC and claim EOE. That is not the way of all the world. She should be knitting in Georgetown

How did the administration facilitate the Muslim Brotherhoods rise to power? I keep hearing this and I would love to see some evidence. I have have seen NONE thus far. I am not talking about “feelings” or “suspicions” that Obama is a Muslim. I mean proof that it was the U.S. that got them elected. I have not seen one single shred of evidence. It would be helpful.

Wow. Just. WOW.

Would you believe, long, long ago, I did meet Bill Clinton, before he was anybody. He was a nice guy, and “he had put his life on the line for his country.”

You can disagree with policy and still serve your country without resigning. How many generals or admirals have resigned under Obama?

Usually, ambassadors don't get the credit or the blame. They just act as intermediaries between governments.

She obviously has done nothing substantial to ameliorate the disastrous effects of Obama’s policies. The man on the street in Egypt shouldn't ever know her name.

You don't understand the role and function of an Ambassador. If they don't implement the foreign policy of the USG, they can be fired or relieved. And some have. Look up Hume Horan who was used as a scapegoat by Bush 41.

They know her name because she has become the face of the Obama's policies. She is the messenger.

Anne Patterson sucked up to Muzzie Brotherhood way too much and I could care less what her orders were. She should not have done so. We have too many leftist pukes at State, they dominate State and have done so for a long time. You may tell me she is not a leftsist coddler of Muzzie Brottherhood but by her actions this is what she was and is,

She bet on the wrong horse and will probably get yanked anyhow for serving her Jug Eared master

You are a complete f*cking moron you know that? You might as well just go on a public street and yell “obama be dat moooslum!” That’s the degree of your ignorance.

Now, are you at all interested in trying to prove that what the protestors are alleging is true, or do you want to make fun of my screen name a little more like a complete idiot?

(1) What have I done for God? Ask Him. What have I done for country? Paid career diplomats like your heroine.
(2) Not a “rabid Muslim “ country? Tell Lara Logan that. Or the Copts.
(3) No, never been. Can’t afford to go because of the taxes I pay to send fabulous diplomats there.
(4) Because it infuriates our “allies”
