They say a patrol officer found green plant splashed on the floor near the famous statue of President Lincoln, and some on the base of the statue, at around 1:20 a.m. local time.

The memorial, on the National Mall, will be closed until the U.S. Park Service can clean it up.

An investigation is under way.

Just the opposite - apparently he's found inside information that The Founders preferred the Biennial Anarchy System. Although they didn't quite get around to instituting it, all those who even questioned it were to be run outta town on a rail, that's how awesome it was.

Or perhaps someone who thinks that life would be easier to predict, and business growth or operation easier to manage if the entire basis of the legal system was periodically changed in unpredictable ways has a basic problem with their reality orientation.

Mathew 5:29

And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Litany of secession:

If the federal government causes you to sin against God then secede from it, cut it off like a cancerous limb; cast it from thee because it is far better to live in a smaller, free republic of God fearing states than perish in the hellfire of centralized federal tyranny. Whatever hardship may come secede just the same for it is profitable for a group of states to restore a Free Republic than let the entire nation cast your state into hell.

Monaco is a pet of France. Lichtenstein is a protectorate of Switzerland. They have been that way for many years.

Your proposition: “Radical change in government every 2 years as the default position” would have none of their advantages.

Tell you what. If states becoming independent is such a good idea, then a city or county becoming independent would be an even better idea. If a city or county becoming independent would be a good idea, then having your own country’s consisting of your house and back yard would be absolutely brilliant. Don’t buy any food not grown in your back yard. Don’t connect to phone lines not controlled completely by you. Enjoy your solitude. Have a happy life.

The sane people will then be untroubled by you.

The pretend republic that Illinois Butcher™ created suites the DC Fascists. It suites needs of the corporations, media, lobbyists and statist pigs just fine at the expense of the states and the people. FedGov™ :One stop shopping for all of you tyrannical needs”. A situation that you like and are fine with - Boot licker paradise. You are tool and a fool, a pretend patriot with no understanding of the intent of the original republic. Open your little mind and expand on your knowledge and try to question the reconstructed history that has brain washed your feeble mind, here’s to hoping you learn something one day before you die....

Lincoln didn’t create the federal government, and fought the entire insurrection with the courts in session and a seated SCOTUS that on occasion frustrated him. By contrast, Jeff Davis, while not elected in accordance with an accepted constitution, attempted by insurrection to create a government that denied states the rights to abolish slavery, and fought his insurrection without any legal restrictions because he never appointed a pretended counterpart to the US Supreme Court. Jeff Davis fits the definition of tyrant far better than Lincoln.

Sadly, I agree with you that the current federal government has overstepped its authority. I don’t see how refighting the insurrection of 1860 to 1865 leads to reduced federal authority. Against insurrection, the federal government gains power. I would not start an insurrection absent the most important and crucial purposes. As last time it would do more harm than good.

I don’t see how having people who support smaller government restricted to roles outside the government would ever lead to smaller government. Rather, I would have people who support smaller government inside the government so they could help shrink it.

It would be very nice if the SCOTUS would hold that the Department of Agriculture, Education, Labor, HUD were unconstitutional for a start. They haven’t done so, so the appropriate approach would be to win some elections, and in that way get people inside the government that can pare back its excesses. That realization was in part why I changed my registration from Libertarian to Republican. That frightens people enough that Gov. Christie of NJ felt it necessary to complain publicly about libertarians in the Republican party.

States can also be tyrannical, and the federal constitutional guarantee to the states of a republican form of government is one of the crucial feedback loops that could prevent state tyranny. The clause that grants people from out of state ‘privileges or immunities’ is crucial to efficient use of production.

What is a corporation? It is a voluntary association of people. People apply for positions in the corporation, they seek to purchase shares, they do business with it, and they loan it money voluntarily, or they do none of those things as they choose, using their personal benefit and interests to guide their decision. Leftists really hate the voluntary nature of the corporation. They ape its success as an organizational principle, while rejecting its voluntary nature. Accordingly government leftists start pretended corporations like Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae, using coerced funding, and then force people to do business with them. There is nothing wrong with a corporation that would not be cured by removing coercion.

Corporations with bad people, bad business models, or bad circumstances can and should go down, and in so doing they free resources for good people, good business models and improved circumstances to profit. Their failures only hurt the people who choose to do business with them. In that way, the wider public is preserved and protected from business failure.
