Activists are pushing for an hourly wage of $15 and the ability to organize. Cinnamon Tigner, an employee there who took part in the protest instead of working Tuesday, described the work as "modern day slavery"

"I love my job, I love what I do," she told Patch by phone, but Tigner said she felt disrespected by restaurant management who she said act like they have power over employees.

If managers are not tasked with supervising and directing employees then WTF are they there for "Cinnamon"?

Also, SEIU Goon: If We Don’t Raise Minimum Wage Fast Food Workers Will Contaminate Your Food…, and...

Schooled by Occupy movement, fast-food workers put demands on the table.

Well, why don’t we just make it $115/hr. Would that work out real well? Happy meals only $125 each. And no toy! Looks like the demand for pink slips is goin’ up.

A couple of years ago two Toyota transmission plants were shut in China by workers demanding more money. The army arrived, selected five workers from each plant and shot them. End of labor dispute. Now, those folks are slaves. I’ve seen photos of the protesters as they texted with phones that cost at least $200. If they’re having trouble making ends meet, ditch the phone, cable TV, alcohol, drugs and eating out.

Someone should point out to the fools using the slave analogy that slaves couldn’t quit.

“Workers will contaminate your food”

I guess we all better stay out of the fast food joints. Besides, none of us want to support "slavery".

By her reasoning abilities, I can see why she works at McD.

How did that labor dispute work out in Hostess?

I have come to believe that Communism is a parasite of the stupid and there are a lot of them.

If I were “enslaved” by McDonalds I think I would flee to freedom.

Guess I’m just smarter than these idiots.

Slavery? When was the last time you were ripped from your family and sold toan owner hundreds of miles away? When was the last time you were tied to a tree and whipped bloody? When was the last time your master told you you couldnKt learn to read or write or take another job? And when was the last time you worked for no pay at all?

Cut the drama, will you? Your hyperbole only makes you look like an idiot.

Before I react...is this satire?

I've been fooled enough to now hate those very real sounding semi-satire things people post.

What you posted sounds like excerpts from an old Saturday Night Live skit from the late 70s.

Have we really fallen that far so fast?

so Cinnamon feels disrespected? Being disrespected is a ghetto concept. Maybe she should go back to the ghetto.

How many of you have ever been frustrated with bosses? But how many of you also know that bosses are paying you to do a job, and understand that you have to do the job in the manner in which the bosses require?

Cinnamon needs some maturity and some reality checks, and needs to leave her ghetto feelings at home when she goes to work.

Reminds me of Matthew 20 in which laborers agree on a wage, then want more.

No one forced them to work for these fast food places.
