The chairman of the House Budget Committee says there's a better way of repealing President Barack Obama's health care law than shutting down the government this fall a path some Republican conservatives are backing.
We, all Republicans, want to repeal and replace Obamacare. Were having a debate about the best way of achieving that goal, the best strategy, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said Sunday on CBS Newss Face the Nation.
Ryan, who was the GOP vice presidential nominee in 2012, pointed out that a government shutdown wouldn't impact entitlements, including Obamacare.
Rather than sort of-swinging for the fences and take this entire law out
I think there are more effective ways of achieving that goal, Ryan said. We think we can do better by delaying this law.
I think there is going to be a better strategy to actually achieve our goal of ultimately delaying and ultimately replacing Obamacare.

Scared of losing a paycheck?
“repeal and replace”
How about repeal. Full stop.
It may not be the best way, but it sure looks like the only way.
Hucksters.
Yeah, well too bad! We’re gonna try it. You don’t seem to be doing anything at all, congressman.
No surprise.
Team Romney WILL IMPOSE RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE on
all Americans, just as Team Romney imposed gay marriage.
The GOP is Team Romney - Haters of Conservatives,
Conservative Ideas, and ANY CHOICE BY THE PEOPLE.
The goal isn’t shutdown. The goal is to cut some or all of Obamacare. A threat of shutdown is the only tool at our disposal.
The tactics the House GOP is using has failed. It is time to use the power we have to affect change.
Of course not.
The best way to shut it down is to pass amnesty, right Paul?
This law is so complex and so unworkable that adding Government supervision to it will take the country down which is Obama’s (Cloward-Piven) plan anyway. They, the Marxists, know where they are going with this. It has always been in the playbook.
paul ryan... just another run of the mill LIBERAL REPUBLICAN!
LLS
All that effort and arguing before the elction...and now we can see in full view that there was not one inch of difference between Obama and Romney, just like Soros and the puppet masters said.
How many times do we have to post it here? Paul Ryan is a RINO. He’s Mr. TARP, Mr. Bailout (GM, AIG, FANNIE MAE & FREDDIE MAC), Mr. Cap CEO Pay, Mr. Plan B., Mr. Amnesty. he tells a story about TARP in a BBC documentary on the 2008 crisis called “Meltdown”. He stated he’d received calls number 3,000 from his constituents against TARP and only 1 call in favor of TARP - from Hank Paulson, the Sec. of Treasury. He voted with Paulson and told his constituents to basically pound sand.
That he tells CBS that he wants to “replace” ObamaCare means he wants government involved in our relationship between ourselves and our doctors - only in a way that the GOP Establishment thinks works to THEIR benefit. He’s one of the more exposed fraud Conservatives in recent memory.
We have to implement it before we can repeal it.
Why is Ryan even bothering to fight Obamacare?
With Ryan’s push for amnesty, soon the illegal-aliens-now-made-citizens will vote in Obamacare with overwhelming Democrat majorities.
Of course, Ryan is too stupid to see this and too much in bed with the Chamber of Commerce and Wall Street Journal cronies of his who he hopes will bankroll his presidential campaign.
Maybe there was some twisted Divine Providence at work in the last election to make sure this duplicitous moron was not made Vice President.
Romney lost my vote when he said “we are going to repeal ‘the more onerous parts of it’”
And Hannity never called him on it.
What parts did he want to repeal and what parts did he want to keep?
I heard that ‘Repeal and Replace’ LOL
That was last years theme.
The ‘replace’ got dropped since then.
30 million new economic basket cases guarantees there'll be plenty for the government to do for the next 100 years.
Of course there will also be a role for the loyal opposition - which is basically nothing but paying lip service to the increasingly hard pressed taxpayer.
Question is are enough of us smart enough to see what he's up to?
Ryan the weasel is careful to throw the words, “and replace” in there whenever he uses the word “repeal”. This tells me he is not serious. Ryan is a coward who cannot be trusted.
Hey, Ryan - - you fund it, you own it.
2. I'll take Marc Rubio over Paul Ryan, anyday (if I had to choose). Maybe Rubio can be educated about how crucial it is to rid the US of invaders. Ryan's beyond hope, just putting "lipstick on the pig", the pig being all of Obama's policies.
