In an interview you will only see on The Brody File, influential Iowa evangelical leader Bob Vander Plaats, head of, “The Family Leader” organization says that Rand Paul could be a, “force to be reckoned with” in 2016 if he is able to fuse both the evangelical and liberty movements.” This weekend, Vander Plaats group hosts a big weekend conference that includes speakers Rick Santorum, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump. Rand Paul will not be there.

Vander Plaats, who is well liked and respected by Iowa’s evangelical community, played a huge role in helping determine Iowa’s Republican Caucus winner in 2008 and 2012. He endorsed Mike Huckabee in 2008 and Rick Santorum in 2012.

I agree. Rand is top on my list at the moment. He has much greater potential than his father who let his irascibility interfere with any chance of getting elected.

“He supports amnesty for illegal aliens.”

Really? I thought you might be telling the truth, but when I checked the roll call I saw that he voted against amnesty:

Quit your lying BC.

We've had this conversation many times, you and I.

Rand Paul has an Amnesty plan that involves granting Amnesty to 2 million Undocumented Democrats each and every year based on the "Certification" of a Pro-Amnesty congress that the border is secure.

The same congress comprised of around 50% who think any border is secure, and another 25% or more GOP-E types who will sell their soul to get Amnesty and will also certify the border is secure.

He voted against that Amnesty plan, because it wasn't his Amnesty plan.

Doesn’t matter if he voted against the Senates Bill, he still supports legalization:

Yeah, sure. He voted against amnesty but he is really in favor of it because an obscure blog says so. /s

There’s a tsunami of backlash building over NSA snooping and government intrusions to privacy. And Rand is waxing up his board.

Hit pieces from the LA Times, CNN, etc.. don’t prove anything.

His position is stated very clearly in his website. See post #8.

Ignore his position as stated in his own words at your own peril and my countries peril. You know that he has his own Amnesty plan that he has not renounced. You are not being honest. Because of this Rand Paul is a Traitor!

Is this a hit-piece from redstate.com?

After ensuring border security, then I would normalize the status of the 11 million undocumented citizens so they can join the workforce and pay taxes. I would normalize them at a rate of about 2 million per year. I would start with Dream Act kids, children brought here illegally as minors. Normalization would get them a temporary Visa but would not put them ahead of anyone already waiting to enter the country. These undocumented persons would now be documented but they would still have to wait in line like everyone else. But their path to permanent legal status would be no faster than those currently waiting in line.

Which Rand Paul are we supposed to believe?

The one you've made up?

Or the one who spoke these words?

Paul is for amnesty. Tancredo explained his evolution. I dont know if there will be a bill he would vote for amnesty because the gang bill is so easy to say no.

I trust Paul more on the issue as President than as a Senator. I dont think he would do executive amnesty because it would totally destroy his platform going into the next presidential primary.

Id like to know whether he would veto an enforcement bill even if it has strong support of the GOP base. On Everify and other things the Pauls think it is a police state tool. Jeb Bush would veto anything enforcement related. There would have to be a question in the primaries where you look at Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Santorum or Palin who would be more or less likely to veto an enforcement bill.
