Dispiriting as it is to admit for those of us who like our republics modest and our republicans unassuming, we are living through one of those bothersome periods in American history in which cults of personality are all the rage. Cory Booker’s victory on Tuesday evening was as inevitable as will be his coronation in the Senate, followed before long by the breathless and ubiquitous talk of a Booker presidency. Nevertheless, for all his supposed virtues, the celebrity mayor of Newark will have to wait his turn, for the Obamacult has a different understudy, and she is busily readying herself for a seamless takeover. I refer, of course, to Hillary Clinton.

The sad fact is that none of those quotes, or more like them, are disqualifiers for the ‘people’ who would vote for her.
No worries at all.. I meant that it was a GMTA moment! I'm for someone putting this out every day if necessary.
They think she's qualified because she's a minority (i.e. a woman), and because she has by far the highest level of name recognition. (I mean, after Obama, the whole idea of being qualified has become very squishy).
They know that with the help of their friends in the press, her time living in the White House, along with her stints as Senator and Secretary of State (however ineffective or incompetence she was) can be spun as relevant, if not stellar and wide-ranging, experience.

Maybe there is a cadre of responsible people in the state department who will help ensure she isn't elected, like the Swift Boat group did for Kerry.

What is really going to irk me... and I'm sure it's coming ... is the band of erstwhile "conservative" prominent women who will oh-so-earnestly stress the need to take part in a historical moment as the rationale for supporting her. A LOT of people we think of as on our side are going to disappoint us in 2016.

The MSM will dismiss EVERYTHING as “unsubstantiated allegations, no evidence, old news etc.” and attack Hellery’s opponent as “nasty, mean-spirited, negative, sexist.”
