Negotiating themselves out of obumbler care was the tip off that they have no intention of defunding.
I have been a supporter of the republicans since Dwight Eisenhower.
Never ever again will they get one penny from me.
Neither of those cuts Obama-care funding unless Obama signs a budget without it, because O-care funding is classified like SS and medicare.
Actually shutting down is a way to change the subject away from Obama-care since there is no defense budget for FY14 so the troops pay stops.
So troops stop getting paid and Obama-care money keeps rolling. This is why nothing will happen/.
Mona Charen was on Bill Bennett this morning screeching uncharacteristically that the media won’t like a shut down and why can’t all the smart republicans with ideas get together and talk about coming up with an alternative to BO Care
Crazy
I hope your Doctor accepts medicaid.
John Boehner in 2012 basically said ObamaCare is the law of the land and will be funded.
***********
Whatever John Boehner says is meaningless. A talking parrot says more of substance than Boehner.
All four leaders are liars.

The GOP elites are controlled by Wall Street and multinational corporations who fund the political campaigns of the leadership and many Congresscritters. Obamacare, and the single payer government healthcare system to follow, is the vehicle through which these corporations will ultimately offload the expense of employee healthcare on the federal government.
In the 1980’s and 1990’s corporations shifted their defined benefit pension plans to 401K savings plans, thereby eliminating most of the cost of funding pensions.
From the 1990’s (Bush I) to the present they have encouraged politicians of both parties to allow a flood of cheap labor into the country to hold down wages.
From the 1990’s (Bush I) to the present they’ve successfully persuaded Congress and the President to pursue “free” trade policies, eliminating tariffs and quotas, which have allowed them to move domestic manufacturing outside the US in an effort to lower costs.
Now they want to eliminate the cost providing employee healthcare costs. Obamacare was rammed through Congress by the Democrats. While talking a good game, the Republicans take no action in Congress to defund it because their masters don’t want it defunded.
When something in Washington doesn’t seem to make sense, follow the money trail to determine who benefits.
When our elected leaders exempt themselves from the laws they pass, they are no longer public servants but instead are Rulers.
With the GOP “leadership”, the word “pledged” is a synonym for Bill Clinton’s “is”.
Doesn’t Mona Charen look down her nose at constitutionalists?
Just curiosity....but why are you mentioning Rush?
We think alike.
Add to your list the flooding the labor market by any means, to include removing all gender-based rules bringing millions of low wage female workers into the market.
Doubling the labor pool is doubling the labor pool. Econ 101 says it will drive wages down.
Well I can tell you she sure did this morning in this case
She wants the GOP to get together and talk
I had to turn it off. It was outrageously out of touch and also denigrating and condescending to those who are putting forth a real effort
She was citing funding for public school, so, what do I expect?
Anyone who has not given up on public school is out of touch to begin with
As the saying goes: That was then. This is now.
