SC Sen. Graham in toughest re-election of career
AP ^ | 9/23/2013 | JEFFREY COLLINS

Sen. Lindsey Graham is showing no signs of changing how he operates as he faces the biggest challenge of his political career.

Willing to buck the public tide in South Carolina, Graham has backed military action against Syria, an immigration overhaul that sets a path to citizenship for some in the U.S. illegally and President Barack Obama's Supreme Court nominees.

"I'm conservative, but I do not mind one bit working with the other side to build my country up," he says in speeches to conservatives. "I'm a Ronald Reagan Republican."

His three Republican challengers are coming at him from the right, arguing that he's not conservative enough. They're also noting that the 58-year-old lawyer has been in some political office since 1993 and shows no sign of stepping down soon unless he gets voted out.

Does he really think he’s conservative? If so, he’s delusional, and needs a dose or two of EST........

Grahamnesty can be defeated.....as long as we don’t have the sissy PhonyCon Liberals try to Akin the conservative candidate. Too many times squishy PhonyCons attack conservative candidates when they do not meet the liberalness required by the Beltway crowd...Fox News...etc

And proves he’s a liar once again.

"Sarah's" track record on picking the right horse the most conservative if you will, has been pretty good.

Of those running in the primary against Linsey, I am curious as to who she will endorse, that is what I want to know and soon so we and or I can send them a few buckaroo's....

Runt Paul is nothing but a Liberaltarian attempting to sell their platform to republicans.People need to open their eyes and see that little turd for what he is.

“We need a Republican Party that looks more like the rest of America if we want to win,” Paul told reporters on Saturday afternoon, previewing the speech he would deliver over dinner that evening. “To me, that means people with ties, without ties. With tattoos, without tattoos. Working class, business class. Black, white and brown.”

What Paul really means is dope, queers, abortion, illegals, and every other left wing moonbat idea.

He has always been a libertarian and so are most Americans.

I am conservative but also don't care what you do in your bedroom {with adults}, believe that marriage is between one man and one woman, but don't care if adult queers want to live together, carry a gun, but don't care that someone else doesn't.

When most people examine their own positions they will find that they are fairly libertarian {not totally radical like John Stossel}.

That is fine, but I’ll never vote to elect that to set policy for the entire country.

THAT is the problem, they want the rest of the country to conform to and accept them. Never gonna happen. There is a reason Liberaltarians never get elected to anything.

I hope she endorses Lee Brite. He is a state senator and has a solid record. Don’t much care for Mace. Her only claim to fame is being the first woman in the Citadel and a business owner. Big deal. She tries to get headlines by saying something outrageous. She is snarky but it is off by a beat or two.

Perhaps Sarah will endorse Lee Bright, which is fine by me; he's MY State Senator from MY district. But your opinions of Nancy Mace seem to be fueled by information from the Graham camp.

You're confusing Shannon Faulkner, first female admitted to The Citadel, with Nancy Mace, the first female to graduate from The Citadel, Magna Cum Laude at that. If you were to read her book, I believe you would develope a different and better view of her than you presently have.

Does one have to have a "claim to fame" before being elected U. S. Senator in South Carolina. If so, why?

I call BS on your saying she tries to get headlines by saying something outrageous. Like what?

And "snarky but off by a beat or two" describes many people but not Nancy Mace, a quick wit. Again, an example please.

You only help the Graham team when you denigrate ANY of the current challengers to benefit another challenger, such as you have in your post.
