Posted on 09/28/2013 6:15:17 PM PDT by goodtomato

I was wondering what the word on the street is concerning Matt Bevin. He is running for US Senate in KY

He's not Mitch McConnell.

That is his best feature.

Where have you been? Freepers have been backing this dark horse for a month. He got the endorsement of the Madison Project, and various Tea Party groups.

A) Mitch is a RINO who screwed us on cloture over Obamacare
B) Mitch is currently polling behind a vomit-worthy leftist and we cant afford to lose the seat
C) Bevin will be part of the Cruz caucus

Mitch must go!

Matt Bevin could be in favor of legalizing pot, cooking puppies, mandatory public nudity, instituting a tax on punctuation, and I’d still think he’s a fine choice as compared to the kentucky doughboy.

If Schumer was running against McConnell I would vote for Schumer.

Does that help?

Don’t know, but if he’s running to unseat little B!tch McConnell, then he’s good to go

I donated to his campaign a month or so ago. He’ll beat McConnell if we get behind him and support his candidacy. McConnell must go!

The only solution to removing the Mitch McConnell problem in Kentucky.

The McConnell problem is not in Kentucky. It’s in DC. When he is defeated, he will move (or I should say, change permanent residence) to Fairfax and set up shop as a lobbyist who tries to talk Republicans into spending for his clients.

Oh, I know. He’s merely a symptom of a much larger problem. I do expect him to easily segue into lobbying where he will make a mint.

I think Matt Bevin would be a true conservative senator. Two things I like about Bevin: he’s not a lawyer and he’s not Mitch McConnell. The democrat running for the senate is Alison Lundergan Grimes. She’s a huge 0bama supporter. Nuff said. Bevin, like Rand Paul in 2010, will not get any support from the GOPe, but I think he’ll knock off McConnell in the primary and then Grimes with the aid of the tea party.

In May, Matt Bevin polled at 9% against McConnell according to internals.
In August, McConnell released internals showing Matt Bevin at 21% to Mitch’s 68%

That outperforms Rubio against Crist at this point in 2009, and Cruz against Dewhurst at this point in 2011.
Also consider that Bevin’s name ID is minimal, whereas McConnell is the Senate Minority leader.

Mitch is defeatable, whether he wants to admit it or not.
We can do this. Linda, Mitch, Lamar, Cornyn.

He has nine children. That would automatically make him family-friendly.
