Oath Keepers is instructing its 30,000 members nation-wide to form up special teams and sub-teams in each Oath Keepers chapter, at the town and county level, modeled loosely on the Special Forces “A Team” (Operational Detachment A ) model, and for a similar purpose: to be both a potential operational unit for community security and support during crisis, but also, as mission #1, to serve as training and leadership cadre, to assist in organizing neighborhood watches, organizing veterans halls to provide community civil defense, forming County Sheriff Posses, strengthening existing CERT, volunteer fire, search-and-rescue, reserve deputy systems, etc., and eventually to assist in forming and training town and county militias (established by official act of town and county elected representatives). We want our chapters to organize themselves as a working model that we can then take to other veterans organizations, such as the VFW, American Legion, Marine Corps League, etc. in each town and help them establish such teams within their already existing veterans halls. And likewise, to serve as a model and training cadre to help churches, neighborhood watches, and any other civic organization organize.
We are basing this on the Special Forces model, which has a twelve man “A team” of specially trained soldiers who are inserted into a community to train and lead that community in resistance to oppressive regimes (hence their motto: “De Oppresso Liber). SF’s primary mission is to teach, organize, and lead, rather than to directly fight. They can fight, of course, but they are most dangerous as a force-multiplier by helping an entire community to fight. If OK were smart, they’d give all their members code names and not use real names, just for security sake and to protect their identities in this age of ‘gov’t lists’ and social media.

I almost did yesterday, got sidetracked buying preps..

We need to be concerned about the professional infiltrators, who are likely going to be well paid ex-military contractors with competencies in multiple critical fields. These spies might work in teams along with patsies or plants that are outed by actions of the lead infiltrator. That way, the infiltrator can gain confidence of the group and rise to a leadership position.
The other important thing to consider is that individual groups must be small, decentralized, with local control. That way, an infiltrator cannot rise in status, infect multiple groups, and take down the whole organization from the top.
Vetting is just as important as the skill set.

You do not have to be an official dues paying member to use the state forums. You just won’t be able to see the national forum section until you pay your dues and become an official member of Oath Keepers. Regardless of your membership status (official member or not) you only register one time. All that will ever be different is what you can see, depending on your status.

Call me sceptical but the internet is now filled with entrepreneurs such as this guy attempting to profit from highly developed websites such as this but with no apparent substance behind his claims other than his request for $$$ in order to view certain predetermined sites.

You have to register to see the state forums. Registration is free.
You have to become a paid member ($40 annual) to see and participate in the national forums.
Free registration allows access to your state group.
If I were a true patriot attempting to create a pro-America movement, my website would include information on how to contact local chapters, free of charge and free from registration.
Since this site does not offer such service, it leaves me no other choice than to view it as a "for profit" organization first and patriotism last............

Not in this group or anything, but if one wanted to keep out the insincere, the turncoat, and the riff-raff one would not make it easy to join. Maybe I’m wrong on that.
Why would any grass roots organization make it hard for anyone to join if they are legitimate? I'd like to make personal contact with a local chapter that may be available in my area but I'm not going to join just to find out if there's one available.

Leaderless resistance was developed by Col Louis Amoss back around the OSS days I believe. Alice Baker sorts and Brigata Rosa in Italy along with Bader Meinoff terrorists tried to use it but fubar’d the concept as they felt they must have a leader and contact between groups / cells....
Understanding as well....the only way for two people to keep a secret is if one of them is dead. Thus I tend to not join such as this to convince others I will keep oaths I took in scouting and as career military.... An Oath to defend and protect this nation was not taken lightly then nor is it forgotten .
I trust real Americans aka that behind every blade of grass thang will do the right thing for patriotic family, friends, neighbors by culling the herd of criminals as encountered with prejudice.
