DETROIT (WWJ) - One Detroit business owner is taking matters into his own hands to make sure thieves leave his liquor store alone.
Steve Bahoura, who has owned the Van Dyke Liquor Market since the 90s, said he deals with several break-ins each year and hes tired of it.
Most recently, Bahoura said someone broke into his business, located near I-94 on the east side, in broad daylight.
They break through the back door at 9 oclock in the morning, he told WWJs Mike Campbell.
Bahoura said hes caught the crook on surveillance video and turned the footage over to the cops, but so far there havent been any arrests. So, hes personally offering reward money in hopes that somebody will turn the robber in to police.
Im willing to give a $2,000 cash reward to whoever turns him in for me, he said.
Until that man is caught, Bahoura said hes going to be sleeping in the store with his trusty shotgun, because theres no other way to protect his livelihood. Bahoura has two words for anyone whos thinking of robbing his store now: Watch out.
I dont want to shoot him but if somebody comes here, sure I will shoot him. Ill shoot him and I will kill him. If Ive got to shoot my gun, youre not going to believe it, these bullets will go all over his body. So next time, the people wont do that to anybody else, he said.

He’s fixing to be shut down.
I.am sure Eric Holder is quickly preparing a package of charges and intimidation steps to stop this extremist. Maybe even human rights violations.
The owner would be arrested if he had a business in Chicago and kept a shotgun.
1 killed, 10 wounded in weekend shootings

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
One man was killed and at least ten other people have been shot on the South and West sides since Friday afternoon, authorities said.
The first thing you do in a situation like this where you take matters into your own hands is to keep your mouth shut.
IF there is trouble and you end up with a body on your hands then you need something to conceal it with, and something to transport it to another location - above all, DNA and fingerprint identification needs to be heavily considered.
You don’t advertise unless you’re just trying to bluff thieves into finding some other mark.
Then there's the administrative fees, permits, penalties, assessments and contributions necessary for the shotgun shells, and of course used shotgun shell disposal administrative fees, permits, penalties, assessments and contributions.
I hope his bank account holds out.
Isn't that what George Zimmerman was a part of?
As a side note, almost all the party stores, small markets and gas stations in Detroit are owned by Chaldeans..........
Slow weekend, must have been the rain.......
There are worse ways to greet an uninvited visitor than a pattern of #4 Buck.

th us brings up far too many questions for me
why doesnt he sell the place and leave town
that leads to the question of who would buy it..
and the list goes on
Exactly why I would rather take my chances in Detroit than many American cities.
Just last week the new Detroit police chief said he was nearly carjacked. Happily he used it to teach a lesson about situational awareness. I read some further comments that I really liked where he warned criminals that Detroit has a growing population of armed people and legal endeavors might be a lifesaving choice.
Agreed, why go public about your Mode of Operation?
If I were him, I’d sell the damn business and set up in a normal town. Even Fort Detroit in 1740 did not see shop owners sleeping in their shops. Sure, they had indian raids but it was a lot easier than Detroit, circa 2013!
Tell that guy to get the heck out of the hole called Detroit, (I am saying that and I grew up there!).
Detroit will eventually become as depicted in many Hollywood films where it gets so bad, Eddie Murphy runs away to California and Robocop is introduced onto the crime-ridden city streets.
So far I really like this new chief. He’s been tough.
He’s stripped the mayor’s security detail from 20 officers down to 6. He’s ordered that 2 dozen officers responding to simple break ins is unacceptable when 2 to 4 is plenty in most situations. Most of all I like the fact that he’s telling the truth about the inability of police to protect everyone.
He’s even considering criminal charges against dispatchers who have lied to callers who ended up dead.
A sign of better things to come?
It was weird, watching those Koreans, with those white bands around their heads, hunker down against...us.
The property isn't worth squat, the liquor license alone is probably worth more. He'd have to spend 20 times its value on a new site in the suburbs then wait for a liquor license........
Chaldeans are tough SOB's, they stick together and they don't put up with crap. If this guy says he's going to shoot the next intruder he'll do it....Considering where they're from, they know how to survive.
