Just 51,000 people completed Obamacare applications during the first week the Healthcare.gov website was online, according to two sources inside the Department of Health and Human Services who gave MailOnline an exclusive look at the earliest enrollment numbers.

The career civil servants, who process data inside the agency, confirmed independently that just 6,200 Americans applied for health insurance through the problem-plagued website on October 1, the day it first opened to the public.

it has to be done online at the unsecured website (no https//).

I applied myself using a paper form and it was sent directly to the state health administrator with no involvement of any navigator or website. My information will not be posted to any website --- that's absurd, not going to happen, unrelated, it's going into the same state HCA databases where my state program information is right now.

Additionally, my state's website does use SSL. It probably does not use HttpOnly cookies if that's what you're getting at.

Probably around the same number who are participating now. The reason I say this is that Obamacare provisions are not that big a change for insurers in this state compared to many other states, repugnant as some of the requirements are. It is more an incremental change rather than a dramatically new scenario, the state having been on this path for at least the past 12 or 15 years.

Not that many completed applications are going to be hoaxes since Experian or Equifax (I forget which) is being used to verify identities.
