Obama building 'compliant officer class' Army intel official: Increasingly, 'to make

WASHINGTON – The extraordinarily large number of senior military officials being relieved of duty during the Obama administration – nine generals and flag officers this year alone and close to 200 senior officers over the last five years – is part of the creation of a “compliant officer class,” according to a U.S. Army intelligence official.

Since WND’s ongoing coverage of what some top generals are openly calling a “purge” of senior military officers who run afoul of Obama or his agenda, some military personnel have been speaking out.

According to a veteran Army intelligence official who spoke to WND on condition of anonymity, there is within the armed forces a major concern that a “compliant officer class” is being created by the Obama administration. So much so, he said, that it’s becoming harder and harder to find “senior officers with a pair of balls in there [the military] now that would say no to anything.”

“And for what it is worth, the Air Force Coast Guard and Navy are not military.”

How do you figure that one?

Anyone who picks up a rifle and stands to post is a soldier, regardless of the branch of military they serve under. FWIW, Marines ARE often referred to as soldiers.

I agree. It is an honorable name for an honorable profession and calling. Word smithing and nitpicking is superfluous.

In WWII, about 27,000 airmen were KIA, 17,000 marines and about 34,000 sailors were killed. How is that again what you said?

To succeed as a tyrant, one must have the military on his side.

He wants officers who will obey an illegal order. Can you say fire on American citizens if need be? Conspiracy theory you say, then why do this when all the officers he has removed would follow their oaths to obey legal orders?

The question is will the troops follow the commands of their officers? Will they obey an illegal order?

Their new oath is to Obama and the party not to the Constitution and people.

Almost all coups are organized by field grade officers or below. There is a reason for that but it is very hard to organize.

Military purge?

Stalin did the same thing, and we all know how well that worked.

Coast Guard, Navy and Marines are naval services.

The Air Force isn’t military, it is an air service.

The Army is a military service.

All can kill the enemy and all of them can die bravely if necessary.

The Merchant Marine are civilians.

The merchant marine was active ... from the Confederate commerce raiders of the American Civil War, to the assaults on Allied commerce in the First and in the Second World Wars. 3.1 million tons of merchant ships were lost in World War II. Mariners died at a rate of 1 in 24, which was the highest rate of casualties of any service. All told, 733 American cargo ships were lost and 8,651 of the 215,000 who served perished in troubled waters and off enemy shores.

But they are not soldiers.

I'm not sure how you define the word military, but the dictionary states:

“of or relating to soldiers or the armed forces (such as the army, navy, marines, and air force”

The Navy is governed under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, is it not?

Finally, the Federal Government disagrees with you:

“The U.S. Military consists of five active-duty Services and their respective Guard and Reserve units. All branches are equal parts of the United States Uniformed Services, headed by the president as commander in chief. The Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force fall under the jurisdiction of the Department of Defense (DoD). The Coast Guard reports to the Department of Homeland Security during peacetime and to the DoD (by way of the Navy) during wartime.”
