A 15-year-old is stuck in a Boston hospital after the medical facility took custody of her when her parents argued against her diagnosis.
For the last nine months, Justina Pelletier has been sneaking messages to her parents in Connecticut through folded origami notes.
“It is kidnapping,” Lou Pelletier, the girl’s father, told WTIC-TV.
The local news station investigated the case, for which a judge later issued a gag order, and has the background leading up to the ongoing custody battle:

The only thing that can stop this is what the parents have finally succeeded in doing, that of getting public exposure as to what is happening. It would not surprise me if their last name has had something to do with how aggressive Child Protective Services has been against the family.

This story and the second one at the link are very disturbing. There seems to be no issue that these children are mistreated by their parents.

I’m sorry, my sentence isn’t clear. I do NOT think the parents mistreated their kids.
I was going to guess proper application of explosives...but that works too.
Someone took my kids like that... That place would not exist anymore.
There was a recent case in California where parents of a baby with a heart defect were threatened by police and CPS because a doctor says he needs open heart surgery right now, after being brought in for the flu.
The parents said we need a second opinion and took him to another hospital.
They come home to find armed police and CPS agents.
The doctor gives his opinion, and now it is the law because law enforcement says “ye, verily, the gods in white lab coats have spoken”.
Ironically, if the parents had not gotten their child treatment over time and she’d died, they’d face the exact same charges they face today.
It runs hot and cold? That's the only thing I can think of at this junction, and I do try to stay caught up with current events...

Perhaps the distinguishing factor, the skinny, isn't so simple as differentiation, the skinny, between dermal color eg brown ok black great green super great white die mf die so maybe in this in stance fur instance pelletier is a dealer in skin and cps has a skin in the game too and the cps has the ability to pelt anyone remora suckingly i mean remorsefully

How dare those parents want to be involved in their daughters treatment. But at least now they, and everyone else knows what will happen to them if they dare speak up when the government makes its determination of what kind of health care they are gonna get!
