Organizers are allowing progressives to parade their political agendas around and morph a historic parade into an event more closely resembling a gay pride parade than the Rose Parade we have come to know.
This Wednesday on New Years Day, the Rose Parade will showcase a gay wedding being officiated LIVE atop a float shaped like a giant wedding cake. The float is sponsored by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
There is nothing unusual about gay activists wanting to promote their cause. What is unusual, however, is the fact that national TV networks during daytime family programming will allow a political agenda to be pushed and will showcase two men engaging in a romantic kiss.

I watched the whole thing. They must have decided to run it at the very end after the cameras were shut down. Because I didn’t see it.
HGTV and KTLA showed the AHF float. ABC cut to commercial, at least in my local market. Don’t have RFD-TV, so don’t know what they did. HGTV announcer gung ho, KTLA more matter of fact. Did not see any homo kissing, although it may have occurred. Still, a disgusting display, with a confusing and perverse message. “Prevent AIDS, but celebrate the behavior that causes it.”
RFD-TV didn’t air it.
Yep ErnBatavia,
Yesterday afternoon we picked up our daughter who works in Pasadena....driving back home to Eagle Rock was a zoo!!! Other than “hearing” the Stealth Bombers go over our house this morning, today is a very normal day here!
I was watching the parade off and on, since my computer is in the other room, but the gay float didn't appear where it was scheduled. Maybe the parade folks yanked it.
.
Also a false theme for the float, “Love is the Best Protection.” Sex within traditional marriage is the best protection. Abstinence in all other circumstances is the only certain prevention.
The very first time The Rose Parade went political, I stopped watching.
Saw just about the a little over an hour and did not see any gay float.
No arrests would have been made, since that would be considered, the “quacking” a 1st Admendment right.
Telly will NOT be tuned, at ALL to the parade of inconsequence and inanity...
Yeah, that’s how I view it now...it no longer holds any of the luster it once did...
Heck, I’d hoped they’d eloped. Did the “bride” carry a bouquet?
True, but hysterical shrieking faggie drama queens would be loudly demanding the arrest of hetero counterdemonstrators just the same.
....Oh they would just be told to “calm down” ever since the Phil Robertson issue stirred up a hornet’s nest which created a just backlash against them, more now they are going to be told to chill.
Better to preach the good news of the Gospel of repentence to those who need it.
Sitting there high and mighty in Tennessee, you come on this forum not to berate leftists and progressives, but to insult me and about five generations of family, as well as my husband and his family, all of us born and bred in California for many, many generations -- since the mid 1800s, in my case.
As if you folks from Tennessee are any better -- the only reason you're different is because Tennessee, as beautiful as it is, doesn't have one fraction of all the bounty California has to offer in the natural resources, weather, and scenic views department, so therefore you have been spared all the folks that, instead of moving to Tennessee, moved here instead because it is prettier.
Free Republic was founded and comes to you from "Californicatia."
Go sit in the corner, you dolt. And start understanding who and what you're insulting when you engage in whitewashing all the people in an entire state because of what cheaters there accomplish politically.
I’m a Californian, and I refused to watch the danged thing because of the gay marriage float. There are many conservatives stuck here. We’re not all degenerates.
Have not watched in years
Hypersensitivity syndrome.
IMHO, when they start a genocidal campaign against the people who still believe in Jesus, that is when some serious wrath is justified. It’s unpleasant enough to have to deal with the not so desirable stuff in between though.
However, I agree with the unpleasant part, because that will be America getting burned for playing with fire.
