Immigration is not a black and white issue. There are thousand shades of gray in between.

For the sake of simplification, we're talking about illegal immigration and amnesty here. That is the real bone of contention conservatives have with the Dems and the RINOs.

That is good news. But I grudgingly have to admit she (Hitlary) has a better speech delivery than Palin.

Hey Onyx, 2ndDiv... I think we have a retread here. This one's PDS sounds awfully familiar...

Yeah, that’s why Governor Palin’s rallies were two to three times the size of Senators McCain, Biden and Obama’s in 2008, because of her poor speaking skills and delivery. Or were all those people just there to “laugh at her funny accent” pissant, er, I mean entropy12.

Another blanket amnesty ala Ronald Reagan will surely be disastrous. United States and Australia are unique countries, in the sense that both evolved entirely with immigrants.

Countries which restrict immigration are dying, such as Japan & some European countries. Australia and New Zealand do a good job of restricting immigration to skilled or wealthy immigrants only. Allowing under-skilled immigrants is a very bad idea. Allowing any relatives of legal immigrants except a spouse and children is a bad idea.

The only proposal I can go along with in USA is that illegal immigrants can stay if they have not broken any other laws, are productive and are not on welfare, and this is the most important...they must go at the end of line of those waiting to immigrate legally. If all those conditions are satisfied, only then I can support allowing those illegals to stay without deportation.

Those rally’s were populated by the already converted. They failed miserably to convert independents. McCain/Palin lost by a bigger margin than Romney/Ryan.

Bzzzzt! Wrong! There were all kinds of new voters, people who’d never voted or hadn’t voted in years at those rallies. I understand a lot of folks here have a problem with strong, outspoken women, especially in positions of power and leadership, but that doesn’t excuse revisionist history. Plus, Karl Rove and many others spent almost a billion dollars helping Mitt Romney, money that wasn’t spent helping John McCain, when the economic collapse and other problems of the Bush presidency were still fresh in everybody’s minds. McCain also made the foolish decision to suspend his campaign, something Romney didn’t do. And not letting Sarah Palin go into Michigan and other states she might’ve turned, not to mention the f***-ups of Steve Schmidt and his crew....

We can probably agree on one thing...McCain was a terrible nominee. Old, chubby, short, face distorted by tumors, maverick republican, and his advisers screwed up big time on handling of Palin.

I can’t think of a single person who would make a better president than Palin. Unfortunately she is UN-electable with the voters we have in this country. I am tired to death of losing elections. I am pining for a candidate who can charm the voters, someone with personality of Reagan, speech delivery of Rubio, with agenda something like Thatcher, and most important,,,can think on his/her feet during the grueling interviews on MSM. Someone who will not look lost when asked about the Bush doctrine. Someone who will not be answer women can’t getting pregnant by rape.

It is what it is. We are living in the world of 24-7 TV news.

You think Marco Rubio is a good speech-maker? I’m beginning to see the problem.

100% better than Palin! I may not like his stance om immigration, but he can deliver a speech and he knows what Bush doctrine is.

You make me laugh. That’s like comparing an opera singer to Johnny Cash. Is the opera singer much more technically accomplished with a wider range? Sure. Does he have the charisma and “soul” of Johnny Cash? Not in a million years. Does he make even a tenth of what someone like Cash makes? Nope. Why is that, do you think? Many said Johnny couldn’t carry a tune in a bushel basket.

Glad to read you had a good laugh. It is good for the health!
Like I said before I love Sarah Palin and if she ever becomes president it would be great. But ain’t gonna happen. She has become sadly un-electable in 2016-2020. Tina Fey and perky Katie have done fatal damage to the Palin personna in the minds of low information voters (who are solid majority in today’s USA). May be in 2024 she may have a chance depending.

Never say never. I have a detailed plan to raise $2 million dollars* for her or Ted Cruz should they garner the nomination and I'm **this** close to losing my feet from diabetes. Imagine what a healthy person could do.

.

* Raised over $40,000 for Fred Thompson in the short time he was in the race and did well for the Polk County GOP in the 80's.

Hope you can cope with and win over the diabetes. 3 years ago my doc told me I am border line diabetic. I took up daily 20 minutes on treadmill, stay more active, avoid carbs as much as possible and sprinkle a small amount of cinnamon on any drink or food which can accept cinnamon. Knock on wood, my glucose levels are staying under 115.

Saw your post the other day. Had to hunt through two old hard drives to find the jpg. That’s why it took so long.

An oldie but a goodie!

LOL, no such thing!! It was just a brain fart, a festering wound in my cranium!

I saw Hilde-beast with her hooch in hand, and out of the fog of my addled mind, I remembered Theresa on a trip to "Da Burgh!" (yes, that shot was here in Pburgh, where Terry KNOWS she's at home.)

But Hey, even if its the farthest thing from the truth, I'll take the accolades for good housekeeping, you Betcha!
