Chuck Schumer Call on IRS to Crack Down on Tea Party Funding: ‘Redouble Those Efforts Immediately’ Jan. 24, 2014 2:38pm Becket Adams

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said Thursday that the Internal Revenue Service should be used more aggressively to keep Tea Party funding in check, explaining that this would help “weaken” and “exploit” the conservative movement.

Schumer during remarks to the Center for American Progress argued that Tea Party groups have an unfair financial advantage over left-leaning groups because of the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United decision, at one point even suggesting that President Barack Obama go around Congress to impose stricter campaign finance laws.

“It is clear that we will not pass anything legislatively as long as the House of Representatives is in Republican control, but there are many things that can be done administratively by the IRS and other government agencies — we must redouble those efforts immediately,” Schumer said.

“One of the great advantages the Tea Party has is the huge holes in our campaign finance laws created [by] the ill advised decision [Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission],” he added. “Obviously the Tea Party elites gained extraordinary influence by being able to funnel millions of dollars into campaigns with ads that distort the truth and attack government.”

I'd stop him right there. It doesn't matter what follows. The first part is just way out of line.

The IRS is not a tool. It is not to be used against one's enemies. It has to have a certain autonomy or it becomes the Gestapo.

I’ve never understood how giving money to politicians of any Party is in society’s general interest enough that it should be tax deductible or tax free like giving to church or charity. However when Schumer says something I’d tend to do the opposite.

WND EXCLUSIVE

First IRS, now FBI shafts tea party

‘What kind of investigation is this?’
Published: 01/14/2014 at 8:35 PM

WASHINGTON — “It appears that the FBI is in the pocket of the Department of Justice and the White House.”

That’s how attorney Cleta Mitchell described to WND the news that the FBI doesn’t plan to file criminal charges against anyone at the IRS for targeting conservative groups.

Mitchell has represented about a dozen conservative groups that were subjected to dubious, invasive and extra scrutiny by the IRS while applying for tax-exempt status.

She expressed a sarcastic skepticism that the Justice Department would ever fully investigate the IRS.

“To quote Faye Dunaway in the last scene in ‘Chinatown,’ when she yells at Jack Nicholson ‘… he OWNS the police.’”

“Therein lies the problem,” concluded the high-powered Washington attorney.

Tea-party advocates are upset the FBI does not seem interested in getting the story from the victims, only the purported victimizers.

Yep, nothing to see here folks.

Obama’s FBI says it’s not worth their time investigating such unsubstantiated rumors that Conservatives are targeted by Obama.

Congress shall make no law . . . abridging the freedom of speech.

Senator Schumer, your Constitutional scholarship is lacking. Doesn’t anyone in the media — anyone — call him on this?

“Calling for the IRS to use its powers to resume war on the First Amendment and free speech he doesn’t like in the hopes of electing more Democrats, Schumer said: “We must redouble those efforts immediately.”

Schumer was the author of the 2010 Disclose Act that failed to make it through Congress but would have required the disclosure of corporate donors to tax-exempt organizations, and membership and donor lists of the groups running “issue” ads.

“The bill was designed to embarrass companies,” Schumer admitted, and its “deterrent effect should not be underestimated.”

Advocating the use of government power to harass and intimidate political opponents is nothing new to Schumer.

Along with Democratic Sens. Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire, Tom Udall of New Mexico and Al Franken of Minnesota, he sent a similar letter to IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman in February 2012 asking the IRS to investigate 12 conservative groups he accused of violating their tax-exempt status and engaging in coordinated political activity.”

Their ox not getting gored.

The increased scrutiny might generate some juicy IRS leaks to them, so it's all good.

Ominous: Schumer, De Blasio to Spread Their Agenda Beyond NY!

January 24, 2014
By Sara Noble

The New York Progressives aren’t satisfied with their agenda consuming New York. Their plan is to spread it throughout the nation. They will destroy Conservatives who won’t be persuaded to their way of thinking and they will take over the cities with the most far-left agenda like the one we see beginning in New York and like the one that has destroyed Detroit. If you don’t believe me, read the article and click the links.

The Progressives we are referring to in this article are Marxists. Their agenda matches the agenda of The Communist Party USA and as their successes continue, their goals will become more apparent.

DESTROYING THE TEA PARTY

Schumer has the solution to dealing with the Tea Party. He thinks Dems can win over the Tea Party. He said the Dems have to aggressively promote a pro-government agenda to win over middle-class Tea Party voters this fall. He told the Center for American Progress, a far far-left group, that Democrats shouldn’t be “quiet, defensive and even ashamed”.

“We must stop playing defense and go on offense when it comes to the need for government. We must state loudly and repeatedly that we believe government is often a necessary force for good,” said Schumer.

I don’t see how this is even legal. A sitting senator calling on the power of government to attack Americans.

Wonder if this was a republican calling on government to attack abortion clinics what would our media do then.

Schumer’s Plan to Abolish the Tea Party
By Matthew Vadum

The Democrats’ new much-vaunted master plan for annihilating the Tea Party movement calls for aggressive class warfare, demagoguery, and lying about the beliefs, motives, and goals of Tea Party supporters, Sen. Chuck Schumer revealed yesterday.

Echoing President Obama’s infamous “bitter clingers” remarks, the New York Democrat argued that Tea Party supporters are cartoonish figures who are easily ridiculed.

Invoking all the usual liberal cliches about conservatives, Schumer said the Tea Party is successor to “the Know-Nothings, Prohibitionists, Father Coughlin, and Huey Long.” In other words, he believes the movement is a collection of hicks, yahoos, neo-Luddites, fascists, male chauvinists, and racists fearful of what leftist academics might call The Other.

“Tea Party adherents see an America that’s not reflective of themselves, and the America they have known, and they just don’t like it.” They are bothered by changes in the “cultural, technological, and demographic makeup” of the nation. It angers them that “white Anglo-Saxon men are exclusively not running the country anymore.”

Schumer said his fellow Democrats in the U.S. Senate plan to subject the public to a massive, presumably very boring post-constitutional civics lesson from now until the congressional elections in November.

Schmucky Choomer has a lot to answer for already, but he just keeps digging the hole he'll be buried in.

Poor lost soul, it's "fear the fire" not "feed the fire."

It's not too late, you know. You can still be a fire extinguisher instead of kindling and gasoline.

“But you’d have to be a coincidence theorist not to get the impression that there is a campaign — alternately ferocious and petty, wide-ranging and narrow-minded — to make certain groups of Americans feel unwelcome in New York City, New York state and the United States of America.

As President Obama put it (in the process of urging Latinos to think along these lines), “We’re gonna punish our enemies, and we’re gonna reward our friends.”

In the hate filled tirades of Sen. Chucky “Kim Jong Un” Shumer and Gov. Tony “Mad Dog” Cuomo, both show they have the mind and cold heart of tyrants! But also... you can sense their naked fear (hate is a form of fear). Such outbursts show who they are terrified of... the High-Info (aka: Tea Party) voter. To the point Chucky is demanding completing the transition of the IRS and FBI into the KGB and Gestopo. As Rush says: “They tell us who they fear!” Revolución!
