All the characters are dems, but none of them are based on actual democrats, none of the antics are based in real world democrat activities. The most the party plays in is they’re beholden to unions and enviros, you could rewrite the show as reps in about 10 minutes.

It is eerie how it’s a cesspool that provides the “opening” from which a Godless Marxist can emerge and attain, in a “meteoric rise”, the presidency, brag of a coming “fundamental transformation” to the United States, and actually succeed. EERIE.

True. But given what we see of the dem party today, it does not matter the characters are not made to depict real life democrats. It is all credible and believable. After the Clintons, Obama and Pelosi none of what happens seems fantastic because you can find events in real life in the democrat party that precisely parallel what happens in the Houe of Cards. That is not to say the Republicans are saints of course not but it is nice for a change to see the democrats being depicted as the sleazoids they are. So much of the media and Hollywood always insulates them from all criticism.
Interesting, that would mean the pardon was probably prepared by Eric Holder.
