"I peg your kind as the first to run in terror or the first to get mowed down when the balloon goes up."

An interesting statement in that any person who says they aren't scared of such conflict is a fool...on the other hand, stating they would be the first to get mowed down indicates that they found some nugget of courage and engaged in such conflict. Thus, at least temporarily, they were able to suppress whatever fear they may have had and engaged the enemy.

Am I fearful? Yes, for many reasons. But I am also determined to do what I believe is right and I pray to Almighty God that He grants me the courage to face our enemy if and when the time comes.

Better men than me have done so, I only hope that I'm half as good as them if called upon.

Are we to huddle in our homes and permit the stormtroopers of a new generation to enact the same policies of tyrants past in the name of our present tyrant(s)?

What, exactly, do you propose? As is apparent to any who possess half of a working brain, the ballot box has been compromised...our form of government has been undermined and the protections put in place by our founders are under constant attack because there are people in places of power and authority who are determined to do our nation harm.

If not us, who?

Not just TX and SC, but Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Colorado (after surrounding, starving, and driving the Commies out of the cities), Kansas, Okie (my place of birth), New Mexico (see Colorado), eastern Oregon, eastern Washington and yes, even non-urban Commiefornia. Hell, we might even be able to enlist the good people in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and eastern BC.

There are lots of us out here...as Beck says, "WE surround THEM." Whether things reach the nightmare scenario or not depends on the "good men" Edmund Burke spoke of getting off our a**es and doing something. I'm not ready to say Claire Wolfe's alarm clock is ringing, any more than I'm ready to turn chicken-a** and desert our nation for the beaches of the Philippines. There are things that can be done, and NEED to be done right fracking now! In the meantime, though, my magazines are loaded.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

Hurl all the vitriol you want, Invar, but the sum total of your posts to this board in the last year have been a pile of defeatist dung.

That would be because of this absurd and silly personal vendetta of yours COUPLED with a massive reading comprehension problem due an acute case of knee-jerk-itus.

Warning about where we are going and where we will end up if certain things are not done - or warning against courses of action that are either ineffective or stupid is not defeatism.

But you call it that anyway - because like most hubris individuals who have taken up the mantle of cheerleader, you have decided everyone is an enemy who is not in lock step with your opinion.

False bravado is as dangerous as your asserted defeatism in my posts. Refusal to see the situation as it truly is, ignoring the lessons of history and castigating those reminding this people of those lessons because we're Americans and immune to history being repeated here, will do more to defeat the entirety of the nation than someone like me warning them of things you would rather not be said.

As to my original rely to the OP, since both Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh have made similar in-jest on-air musings about Belize as a bug-out location - I assume you think they are defeatists as well?

<>There's still a slim chance that we can win our country back by working within the system.

Agree, but not solely via semiannual elections.

<>I watch what Senator Ted Cruz has done almost single handedly, and wonder what ten more like him could accomplish on Capitol Hill.

Sure, a government filled with men like Cruz would be wonderful. However, supplying only virtuous men to govern us is not realistic.

<> Leftist judges. Uniparty. Obama’s power grabs.

<>There's over a hundred years of subversion and intentional destruction to turn back and undo, . . .

That is your money quote. It is what must be done. Everything else is an irrelevancy. So the problem is how to undo what 100 years of elections have done. I doubt future national (not federal) elections can possibly reverse the mess we are in. Elections cannot put the consolidated government of Washington DC back in its box. As you say, there is a fetid crust of court decisions, and executive power grabs that elections cannot counter.

So, outside of more elections in which we vote conservative when we can, what is to be done?

I ask how to arrive at where we must go?

"Well, fighting back begins with looking the other fellow in the eye and telling him you won't be cowed, and that he'd better step back before things get 'real'."

Spot freakin' on, Windy! All this talk about chickening out and running away, like so many Sir Robins, is only emboldening our enemies, foreign and domestic. If we on the Right show some collective backbone, our enemies on the Left just might back down. If they don't, they're going to have a fight on their hands they'll quickly regret.

INVAR, I didn't know you were being sarcastic, so sorry I took you for a surrender monkey. But you're right...if we're going to save our Republic before it gets to the Point of No Return, we've got to quit talking and do something. It needs to start with we veterans, many of whom are unemployed, so we have the time and the passion to get the ball rolling. We need funding though, so that has to happen first.

Biff, the answers to all those questions can be found, but only if we start talking to one another, not on the internet, but at home. Seek out like-minded individuals, especially veterans, and go from there.

Sarge, thanks for the double nod, and the inspiring quotes. We all need to channel our inner Leonidas and inner Travis...yeah, Travis was a flawed man, but who among us isn't in our own way? He was brave, and that is what counts.

Getting back to what you were saying, Windy, the Tea Party of 2009 and '10 is a perfect example of what can be accomplished when we stare our enemies down. The problem is, as conservatives always do, we won a victory, then went back to sleep. We never maintain our momentum. What needs to happen right now, is to mobilize the PO'd millions from '09 and '10, get them back out in the streets, picket signs in hand. Yes, the Obammunist lickspittle media will call us all sorts of vile and inaccurate names...so what? Are we going to let that stop us, or are we going to take our message to the center-right majority in this nation, that have been cowed into silence by Hollyweird and pop culture?

Four years ago, we got those people to lace up their Reeboks and grab their signs, because they saw, right there on the Channel 7 news, people who thought just like them, marching in the streets, and letting Washington know that "we're mad as hell, and we're not going to take it anymore". We have to do it again, and this time, not go back to sleep after a huge victory, and not be scared into backing down because media sweethearts like Anderson Cooper and Rachel Madcow call us racists, and not use the IRS scandal as an excuse to do nothing!. So our contributions may not be tax deductible...so freakin what?!?! Are we going to let that stop us from getting active, from getting organized, and rescuing our Republic? If so, we may as well just book our passage to the Philippines, so we can sip Mai Tais on the beach while our nation burns.

Or we can just sit around, grumbling and grousing, waiting for Claire Wolfe's alarm clock to go off. Well, I'd rather use the First Amendment before I have to use the Second, but neither will work if we don't first get our a**es off the couch and away from the keyboard. I'd rather use a pair of comfy shoes and a picket sign than 147-grain .30-06 rounds.

Sorry for ranting, but y'all got me so fired up, I couldn't help myself.

"Proof you are delusional."

Sorry, but I have to disagree. Why is that delusional? Because we've never tried -- not just paid lip service, but really tried -- to make the system work? Because we're too lazy to do our duty as free citizens in our self-governing system? Because we're "too tired after a long day at work" to get off our a**es and attend Oath Keeper meetings, or Tea Party meetings, or city clowncil meetings? No, Windy isn't delusional...we conservatives are lazy, where our enemies on the Left are not. I, too, believe there's still a small window to make the system work, but it's going to take energy and effort on our part, that we've never shown in my lifetime (49 y/o). We can do it...we just have to do it.

An interesting statement in that any person who says they aren't scared of such conflict is a fool…

I didn't say anything about being afraid of conflict. Experience teaches that those who beat their chests about how brave and strong they are - are usually the first ones to run and flee in terror when a real fight shows up.

Are we to huddle in our homes and permit the stormtroopers of a new generation to enact the same policies of tyrants past in the name of our present tyrant(s)?

Judging the fruits - the daily news, apparently the answer is yes. We are even losing our ability to discern good from evil as our rulers are exclaiming that what is good is evil and what is evil is good.

What, exactly, do you propose?

Repentance, along with defiance and refusal to comply with tyranny. That will bring out the tyrant who will seek to impose that tyranny by deadly force. Then we will know what time it is, and then will we have justification to do what is necessary.

That said, we are divided even among our 'own side'. Many of us cannot define liberty the same way and this nation at the moment, stands apart from God.

We suffer what we suffer because of our sins, and because our faith is lukewarm to the point we were not willing to do what was necessary to resist evil. We even capitulated to evil to avoid conflict and labels. In the mid-1760's - the Pastors understood that the Colonists were suffering the tyranny of the crown because of their collective sins - and the First Awakening prepared the people for the war that would come the following decade.

I can't even get pastors to agree that the nation needs to beseech God in repentance in this hedonistic culture.

Yup. An idol is being trusted in. Those who trust in the Lord will dig in and fight out of indignation (in-dig-nation, did I just state a pun?) but don't relish the idea of such fights, in fact will try just about anything else that is not sinful in preference to them.

Though not exact quoting you, I agree that yes we Christians need repentance. This is not some elaborate affair. It is simply to take seriously the exhortation and connect promise of James to "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." As you do so, God will indicate things that you've been doing wrong that you can do right (or at least better). It isn't God who is making repenting hard. The Cross has already been provided to obviate our need even of making amends for past misdeeds. Who'd be able to traverse that labyrinth, to say their amends were enough? But we are sternly reminded that our sin must stop if we are not to end up in hades.

Why is that delusional? Because we've never tried -- not just paid lip service, but really tried -- to make the system work?

Are you kidding me? Why did the TEA Party have to come into existence if we 'never really tried'?? How many Conservatives in Primaries have the Ruling Class sabotaged to ensure a Leftist or RINO got the spot?

How many laws has Obama violated? Where is ANY concerted opposition to his unConstitutional coalescence of power from those who are in authority to hold him to account??

As it became self-evident to the Founders that redressing grievances to the King and Parliament was futile because every attempt was met with repeated injury, it should be self-evident to us that fixing a corrupted and rigged system from within is not an option.

Mark Levin is absolutely correct when he says that we CANNOT work within this system any longer, because Washington will NEVER allow itself to be reformed - it will have to be forced to do so from OUTSIDE the system.

History also teaches this fact; tyrants and lawless regimes cannot be reformed from within systems they have taken over and corrupted for themselves. Rulers who make themselves above the law or arbiters of the law, will never permit themselves to submit to the law if it is the will of the people they rule.

“...defiance and refusal to comply with tyranny...”

“NO” is the most powerful word in any language.

Connecticut, right now. They’re GOING for the military-pattern rifles. This is a test-bed, what happens there.

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4eF88I_mkqw/Uw3vAs-F35I/AAAAAAAAano/OVGYrQbiu0Y/s1600/conn-letter-e1393366587721.jpg

That little fascist Lawlor running the show up there has sent out over 100 confiscation notices to private citizens to surrender, render inoperable, and remove military pattern rifles.

http://www.examiner.com/article/conn-can-try-to-confiscate-guns-magazines-but-threatened-owners-have-options

The reality is this; what’s happening in CT is exactly what the Second Amendment was put in place to prevent. And this is just at the State level.

Here’s one man who’s taking them on single-handed: Mike Vanderbeough.

Spoken like a true Patriot with guts, who will fight like hell for the Constitution, our freedom and liberty. Run? Run to where? Be a man and woman and stand up for what you believe in...the men and women of Our Greatest Generation should be a guide and example of people who fought and WON!
Keep your cool, keep focused and be prepared to move and fight. Join forces with like minded people. Say your prayers and be ready to pass that ammunition, whatever it may be, that will save this country.
