A Manhattan woman was charged with assault this week for allegedly brutally beating her three-year-old daughter after the toddler microwaved her cell phone and destroyed it. The woman had been taking refuge in a Hell's Kitchen shelter for battered women.
Officers say that Krystle Reyes, 28, began assaulting her daughter around 5 p.m. on Thursday night. Fellow residents at the West 49th Street shelter say they heard the little girl screaming and called for help; officials found the little girl with a deep cut and bruising on her right eye, bruising to her right arm, red marks on her neck and more bruises on her ear, back and backside.

ObamaPhone?
Did you read the one comment that in so many words excused her behavior do to possible generations of financial and emotional distress? Liberals are insane and yet this type of mentality is expanding.
Put mama in the microwave and set it to popcorn.
This story reminds me of something I once saw. I took my grandson to a Macdonald with a play place on a cold rainy day. There was a very pregnant young mom with two or three other kids, all girls. For about a full hour, she never, and I mean never, looked up from her beloved phone. The kids ate, played ran around. She never interacted with them. I suppose I could have been 20 miles away with them before she would have noticed.

More than likely deserved it.
Outraged, Reyes picked up little Jameelah Hernandez by one arm and put her in the tub for her bath at around 5 p.m., officials said.
Reyes then began hurting the vulnerable little girl, who was crying so hard that other residents in the W. 49th St. shelter for victims of domestic violence called for the security guard, according to authorities.
When help arrived, Jameelahs right eye had a deep cut and was bruised, according to court papers. She also had bruising to her right arm and red marks on the back of her neck.
Investigators found more bruises on Jameelahs ear, back and buttocks, court papers reveal.
Reyes, who is originally from Sullivan County and has only been living in the city for a year, admitted to slapping and popping the victim in the face, according to court records.
Just last week, I heard a woman say to her child “If you keep on eating candy, you ain’t gonna get no sugar daddy when you get older. You gonna have to go to work.”
popping the victim in the face,
Awesome.
Yes, nothing can justify beating a child. I was just wondering about the phone. It seems to me no adult, or teenager in this country now does without a phone, many many provided by Obama, no less.
“due” not do. (my error).
With all the money the mother has spent on tats - she could buy a new phone or two.
Well, now that I know she is white, I can feel free to comment on her without concern about some liberal calling me a racist (if the perp were black).
This woman should be used for shark bait at a fishing pier in the Bahamas after being suspended by a rope tied to her ankles and suspended from a helicopter that then dangles her over pools of sharks. Let each one have an appetizer BITE!
If I had my wish this is what I would do to this piece of garbage! Imagine the fear in that baby as her own mother was hitting her! I would love for her to experience a few hours of that kind of fear, then die!
There! That’s my rant on this horrible story!
Will militant feminazis come to her defense? Oh, the stresses of motherhood!
I’m guessing we won’t be seeing this “family” on a Cheerios commercial.
You Stole My Thunder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nope...she probably got them in jail for “favors”
When your cell phone means more to you than your kid. Don’t leave home without it. Don’t let your kids microwave.
