Vice President Biden was in Warsaw last week to reassure our eastern NATO allies that they have the support of a “steadfast ally.” But if Russia moved against Poland or the Baltic States, would the United States really go to war? Or would we do nothing and effectively destroy the NATO alliance?

Obama may go with NATO but only with high altitude bombing, backed up with drones.
A direct war as opposed to the proxy wars of the last 50 years would be stupid. Unless our president wants to kill us in something like a suicide by cop scenario we’d best not get involved in this one. (The entire situation is Obama’s fault for seeming weak in the first place. Nothing so empowers a bully like a mom jeans, bike helmet wearing beta male in charge of the nuclear football.)

NATO is a polite fiction, dead lo these 20+ years.
If Putin wants the end of NATO to be explicit (he may), then he will invade Estonia and expose the lies that have grown up since 1991-1994.
OTOH, he may want to wait until a time when the public funeral of NATO would bring him more advantage.
Either way, watch Merkel. The Germans have a lot to lose here, but they have potentially quite a lot to gain, as well.
I would hate to see America at war with this CIC (no balls) and a military staffed with a high percentage of women (no offense intended) and homosexuals. All 0-Zero is good for is to "lean forward" (bend over).
