I hope Bundy sues the NYT; seems they went out of their way to change the context and tone of what was originally said.

Bundy had best not speak of social/political issues at this time, Harry Reid and the NYT out to get him and turn what was once sympathetic people to his cause against him. They are experts at that and he is not, although his arguments are well taken, they are politically incorrect.

No I won’t call it racist, because what he said WAS NOT racist. SMH

Can someone link me to the TEXT of the comments? (preferably, indicating those that the MSM included, and those they excluded).

“Regardless of whether he did or didn’t make such comments, what do they have to do with the land issue?”

Good question.

And why the hell is he bringing race into it and talking about slavery?

Nobody cares about his social engineering theories. He is beginning to sound like a big government type. Cattle ranchers get subsidies as well.

"Call it racist if you wish. I just think it was a really stupid thing to say."

Many black leaders have said similar things, e.g., "We're worse off now than we were in 1960." And - by SOME objective criteria - they ARE worse off, particularly in terms of the broken family structure.

Screw that, I hope he keeps speaking his mind and sues the crap out of everyone in sight who purposely twists his words. If lawsuits don’t work, maybe, just maybe its time to go back to good ol fashion ass kickings.

It was Mr. Obama who said “it’d be better if we spread the wealth around” and that was the issue at hand.

Obama basically told the world, 'I am a Marxist' --- and the Media rushed to change the story to digging up some dirt on Joe the Plumber.
Of course the Media is made up of Marxist, Sodomite loving, Godless atheists - so no surprise, but still irritating.

And how many of them have said, "Maybe we were better off under chattel slavery?"

I know Frederick Douglass scolded slaves on more than a few occasions for being too comfortable in slavery to simply walk away en mass. If they had just gotten up and walked away as a group, there wouldn’t have been a damn thing anyone could have done to stop them.

Slaves weren’t held by fences and guard towers. They were held by ignorance and fear which their democrat masters imposed on them.

Even if Bundy were a racist, he still has rights.

This entire fiasco is intended to simply get people to take their eye off the government land grab ball.

The process is flawed. Bundy, regardless of what the PC media/government/society wants, and tries to enforce, has every right to be a racist if he to chooses to be one. Racism is not as yet a crime. He11 our POTUS, FLOTUS and AG have all done things that might very easily be considered racist during the past couple of years. It may be looked down upon but it is not a crime. It's freedom.

Reading the entire quote, in context, indicates that Bundy is not a racist and that as usual, the media is trying to create rather than tell the story.

Pitiful!

It’s like when corrupt figures in the government started leaking “Joe the Plumber’s” financial history and infractions to discredit him after he was mentioned in the 2008 debate. It was Mr. Obama who said “it’d be better if we spread the wealth around” and that was the issue at hand.

That reminds me of how the libtard media handled Linda Tripp's recording of Lewinsky's phone calls. Instead of concentrating on the fact that Lewinsky was trying to get Tripp to perjure herself, they went with "what kind of friend records her friend's conversations?"

As I said yesterday, it doesn’t matter what the TRUTH is, it doesn’t matter what the context is, the meme has been set, and libs everywhere are running with it.

THEY control the organs of propaganda, and are not afraid to use it. That is the cost we have to pay for letting it happen.

The issue is how far the Government-Media Complex will go to destroy those who would oppose the Leviathan.

The next time, and there will be a next time, that the BLM shock troops surround the ranch in Southern Nevada it will be ok because Bundy is a racist. The actual issues will be moot.

What is wrong with using negro in the context of race?

There is no ‘black’ race, or ‘white’ race.

Caucasian and Negro are in fact races.
