Makes it interesting to run a true believer and make the wolves at least have to show their fangs. Another Carly Fiorina or Meg Whitman is what the Rovians want. We know what usually happens when they get their nominees.

There is a lamppost with Tokyo Rove's name on it. Hopefully he will be introduced to it someday soon.

The Dems would use his win in the primary to tar and feather all other Republican/tea-party candidates.

You mean we can't have a candidate who supports the 2nd Amendment, is against the extension of benefits to illegal aliens, wants our immigration laws enforced, and is proud of his religious faith?

The Dems can have an admitted drug user (including cocaine)in the WH who was elected twice with the largest number of votes any Presidential candidate has ever received. They can have an impeached former President enjoy a 67% approval rating despite lying under oath, allegedly raping a woman, groping others, and receiving BJs in the Oval Office from an intern and sticking cigars in her vagina. And his wife will more than likely be the first woman President of the United States despite being responsible for placing our people in harm's way in Benghazi and then concocting a phony video story.

The Dem's lion of the Senate, Teddy Kennedy, allowed a young girl to die in his car and did nothing to get help. We had the most senior Dem in the Senate be a former KKK wizard. And the list goes on and on.

The reason the Dems have been so successful in smearing Rep candidates, especially conservatives, is that the Reps join in to destroy their own people. It is a circular firing squad.

And exactly on what basis would Donnelly be "tarred and feathered?"

Just think back at the last few elections where the Dems turned the most minor negative issues into “big deals” — that’s how they won majority in the Senate.

And they will continue to do that until the Reps get some cajones and stop running away from a fight by sacrificing their own people. The Dems never do that. Loyalty begets loyalty.

It’s time to think strategically -— losing is NOT a winning strategy. The losers have no impact on anything.

We are not winning if we are afraid of standing up for our principles. Yes, Donnelly will not win in the bluest of blue states, California, but he deserves our support. He will lose because CA has been turned blue by immigration, legal and illegal. The Dem strategy is to turn the country the same way using immigration. And they are very successful as more and more states turn purple and then blue. Color NV, CO, and NM gone. VA, FL, AZ, and NC are heading in that direction.

It is time to take a stand and not be cowed by political correctness and incompetent political consultants who are leading us over a cliff. Unless we reduce legal immigration, the country is finished.

Ryan couldn't even help Romney carry WI. And certainly MA was not going Rep even with a former governor as the candidate.

Ronald Reagan said, “A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. I do not believe I have proposed anything that is contrary to what has been considered Republican principle. It is at the same time the very basis of conservatism. It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way.”

Occam’s Razor (the most obvious answer) in this case would be that Rove the RINO is taking money from our enemy. Democrats maybe, liberals, probably. My guess would be a group working to promote illegal amnesty reform.

My personal opinion? That both the Dems and the GOPe are controlled by wealthy elites whose objective is to establish an oligarchy in the US, using massive regulation to stifle the emergence of new companies that could compete with the old companies they control, and crippling the educational system so that the education of smart middle-class kids who could compete with their kids is impaired.

“Earlier this week, he was the lone vote in the state Assembly against a bill that prohibits state government departments from selling or displaying items with an image of the Confederate flag.

Sorry folks, but we have no choice for governor in California. We don't need another Todd Akin or Richard Mourdock fouling the waters for conservatives.

I would vote against that bill too if I served in a legislature. It’s a stupid, image bill that people are scared to vote against. Democrats do this crap on purpose. California was NOT in the confederacy. Just how often are such items sold or displayed. I’m glad he voted against it. Everybody’s out of step but him!

That’s exactly why the appropriate vote in this case would have been “PRESENT.” Tim Donnelly is not smart enough to be my governor.

I gotta quote my original post here.

“We don’t need another Todd Akin or Richard Mourdock fouling the waters for conservatives.”

In this case, the “middle way” preserves whatever reputation that conservatives have left in this state.
