New law requires 50% to avoid runoff

Acutally, it's not a new law; goes back generations. But only about eight states now have runoffs.

Castle was not an incumbent. I think he was a former representative and may have had some position in Delaware state government prior.

D’Amato over Javits, 1980

Castle was not the incumbent against O’Donnell.

Seems to be going back and forth. Okay results for Cochran, but McDaniel is doing good in some places you wouldn’t expect him to.

What the he** is wrong with the people of MS? It seems the DEMS aren’t the only political group to have LIVs.

Cochran is picking up a lot of votes from the more populated counties. Hard for McDaniel to make those up in the rural counties. Cochran getting a LOT of votes in Hinds county. Which goes 60+% dim usually. So the crossover vote scam seems to have worked for him there.

With the numbers from Hinds county (Jackson metro) it will be difficult, and require several rural counties, for McDaniel to make up.

But with 8% in, Thad has 8 pt lead. Isn’t that indicative of a trend?

The MSM has been totally in the tank for cochran. most little old people don’t DO social media or internet. They get their news at 5 and 6pm from the local news. All that’s been talked about for 3 weeks now is that poor old lady in the nursing home having her picture taken and how even though he’s never been implicated in it that McDaniel must have had something to do with it.

Voila.

The Cochran campaign was a disaster in a deep red state. If we can’t win here, hard to see us winning anywhere else

In most states it take the campaign being on target. But it also helps if the dim appointed MSM are on your side too. Then it’s like running against a well connected dim. Which Cochran really is.

Many votes out there. we’ll see. Remember in the Virginia race, Cooch was winning up until about 85% reporting, then McAuliffe just inched out the 1% he needed.

Might be time to just give up on America. Even with the Obungler admin screwing up more and more each week, the voters are just so re7arded that they would never again elect even 15% decent senators and representatives. The people love their pork. Hope they choke on it.
