ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — President Barack Obama said denying climate change is like arguing the moon is made of cheese, as he issued a call to action on global warming to Saturday's graduates of the University of California, Irvine.

The science is obvious. It’s at least 20 degrees warmer in the Northern Hemisphere than it was 6 months ago. DUH!!!!

31,000 scientists say there is no global warming. I sure they know more about this then Obummer or Al Gorp.

Nothing but a set of assumptions based on cherry-picked measurements whose certitude is doubtful and which cannot be replicated.

Another was of saying ASSumptions.

Well Barack, perhaps YOU can explain to us the substantiating “science”?

Please note, it is NOT “science” to suggest “they say”.

Can this guy get anymore ignorant and self-serving? Not only has the planet not warmed over the last 12 years, but some 30,000 climatologists, geologists, other scientists and learned peoples disputed this about 3 years ago in a paper they all signed. Talk about an "inconvenient truth" that Gore, Obamabi, and others have ignored.

Yes, climate change happens. Yes, it can be devastating as witnessed during the small ice age in Europe and elsewhere. Yes, some ice will melt - yet some grows. The northern polar ice shelf has grown this very year and you can look up the satellite graphics. Areas of Antarctic are melting due to rising magna (as they recently discovered just days ago - surprise!), while other sea ice areas are growing around the Antarctic. This is undisputed fact, but do the scare-mongers bother to look at recent findings? No, they're locked into their ice core history and computer models that make them think they can predict the future.

And most importantly, the Sun's decade long of minimal sun spots can affect our planet and others in the solar system. Sheesh, I learned that in grade school and it's still true today. I doubt there is one honest astrophysicist or cosmologist that disputes the affect our Sun has on this rock.

Oh, BTW, the Earth's core is over a million degrees according to Al Gore. Har! Love to see some brave journalist ask Obambi if that's true. Can hear his response now, "Well, I'm no expert, but many others are. I'm sure they could answer that question. Yes, Candy Crowley, your question?"

Obama wants to do to science, exactly what he did to health care and Iraq.

We skeptics have plenty of science and scientists on our side. What we are saying is that the AGW science is wrong. Horribly wrong. Why is it wrong ? Simply put, progressive scientists put ideology over science. No one on our side is saying, because there is no AGW, government should get smaller. Everyone on the AGW side, is saying because of AGW, government should get bigger.

No we are not. The money grubbing scientist have us over a barrel with a snow job to extract more tax money into their phony grant projects. They are the liars and will say anything for that easy money.

Zer0, the Liar in Chief, lies to hide the fact that he is working to destroy America. Why would he not lie about climate change?

A volcano under the Antarctic ice shelf was recently found to have been hotter than previously believed. That, combined with evidence that *Arctic* ice is on the increase kinda shoots down the “melting ice is man made” argument.

That’s an obvious logical fallacy, I’m sure U of C grads were completely unable to recognize that fact and call his sorry ass on it.

Thanks artichokegrower.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

....and resulting drop in grain production.....

Friis-Christianson and Lassen theory enables us to predict temperature for a solar cycle if we know the length of the solar cycle preceding it. Thus Solheim et al have been able to predict that the average global temperature over Solar Cycle 24 will be 0.9°C lower than it was over Solar Cycle 23. Polar amplification also plays a part such that Svalbard, for example, in winter will experience a 6°C decline in temperature. Work on temperature records in the northeast United States suggest that the temperature decline in prospect for the Corn Belt is 2.0°C for Solar Cycle 24.

We can cross-check this expectation against modelled historic Total Solar Irradiance (TSI) data. Lean et al produced a reconstruction of TSI back to 1610. That is shown in Figure 4 following. Also shown is Livingstone and Penn’s prediction for Solar Cycle 25 amplitude converted to TSI by scaling against the Maunder Minimum. Shaviv in 2008 found empirically that a 1 watt/m2 change in TSI was associated with (as opposed to cause directly) in a 0.6°C change in global average temperature.

A fall in solar activity to levels reached in the Dalton Minimum, as per Lean’s data, would result in a decline of global temperature of 1.2°C, a little more than what Solheim’s group is projecting.
