Where the heck in their platform plank did you find that statement?

Back in the 80’s I was a staunch Libertarian.....until I found out that the most important goal of their organization was the legalization of ALL drugs....period.

There was NOTHING in writing to state what would happen to those who robbed, stole, embezzled, and did every other vile thing to get the money to buy these drugs if they were too “bummed out” to make an honest living to pay for them and to work for a living just like the law abiding people who paid taxes so they could eat and sleep in some type of shelter.

I was very active in the Texas organization but eventually fell out that their philosophy was:

1. Legalize all drugs.
2. Then...once that was done, write and promulgate laws to control the crimes committed by those who flaunted the laws of the people.

Notice #1 came before #2. Common sense dictated that #2 should come before #1.

The same thing is happening in the 2014 INVASION of the United States now.

If people want to use dope, mind-altering drugs, and general drugs of any type or kind....that’s ok with me......ONLY if they purchase these with their own EARNED money and not with mine or my stolen property.

Furthermore, the laws should absolutely prevent one penny of a citizen’s income to be garnered by the government to pay for their folly and inability to live like the rest of us.

I was so disgusted with the Libertarian party that I left it in 1995.

This little history lesson was to inform you that I know what is in the planks of their platform and the words “Libertarians believe in open borders if there is no welfare state.....” are not in there.

So it's your understanding that libertarians want to repeal the existing laws against stealing, and that they support welfare for those who have incapacitated themselves with drugs?

Libertarians want open borders which would make conservative economics impossible, and they know that.

Which do you think they will get first, open borders, or the end of welfare and social programs in America?

Anytime the libertarians want to abandon their leftism and put it off until they can get the economic issues done, then we can start taking them seriously, but that isn’t the way it works is it?

I’m unhappy with Rand Pauls’s stance on immigration and probably to the point that I no longer support his possible presidential campaign. He is good on other subjects and I feel he is more valuable in the US Senate fighting to roll back the Police State.

If imagine Rand Paul President in 2017 I am 100% certain of two things -- he will absolutely ignore securing the border and second, he will push to grant 100% amnesty to all illegal scum in this dying Republic.

I have studied the totality of his comments on "Immigration."

Paul is devious because he is trying harder and harder to act "tough" on the border.

I stand firmly against Rand Paul and his brand of loony liberaltarianism. Yet, even I know Rand Paul is from Kentucky, as is Mitch McConnell, not Tennessee.

Perhaps you have RP confused with Lamar Alexander (R-TN)? I can see how that would be an easy mistake to make given Alexander's continued defense of his vote for the Gang of Eight amnesty plan.

I said throughout the whole battle that shutting down the government was a dumb idea. Even though it did appear as if I was participating in it, I said it was a dumb idea. And the reason I voted for it, though, is that it's a conundrum. Here's the conundrum. We have a $17 trillion debt and people at home tell me you can't give the president a blank check. We just can't keep raising the debt ceiling without conditions. So unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, nobody at home wants me to vote for that and I can't vote for that. But the conundrum is if I don't we do approach these deadlines. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester. If we were to extend the sequester from discretionary spending to all the entitlements we would actually fix our problem within a few years.

...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.
