Why in the world would this fish wrap think readers would feel sorry for the over-paid, under-worked parasite class? They have sucked the life out of our economy with millions of regulations in an effort to justify their jobs. If only we could be as confident as the writer that the GOP would fire hundreds of thousands of our tormentors!
When Bush was elected he fired just five and the MSM had a hernia over it - Hillary called it unconscionable that he would have done such a dastardly deed.

My point was just that it’s common practice. There is no “tit for tat” going on. Tony snow fooled lots of people by pointing out that Clinton fired most of the US attorneys when he took office, and not bothering to point out that his boss did exactly the same thing. Reagan did too.

That happens every Election and more so where a branch of the Government changes hands.

I had heard that the tradition was to replace them but not remove the current US attorney until the new one was selected and ready to take the seat which might take months for some at the bottom of the list. Clinton broke that by firing the old ones long before he had replacements.
Let ‘em HAVE their food stamps ... for three months ONLY !
Yeah and that is the problem. They should be hiring some of us grass roots types but they don’t. There are some that do staff with conservatives but unfortunately that is more the exception. Its one of the reasons that liberal issues manage to infect the priorities and sensibilities Republicans in Congress. You don’t have conservative Republican activists that actually care about conservative Republican issues in these jobs so how can we expect them to win or run with them? Instead they sabotage them from within.
If you’re in the market for a house in suburban DC, keep your eyes open. It may be a buyer’s market come January.
The upside. Some good conservative reforms will open up some real jobs in the private sector.
The downside...the wacko liberal drones will all find employment in government-funded activist organizations to push BS for the next election cycle.
Actually, I really not concerned about “practice”. I feel the reasons vastly differ between Democrat and Republican Presidents. Regardless, with this President and what he’s done the last 6 years and seeing how he was abetted by Pelosi, Reid et al, they should consider themselves (and their lackeys) lucky if they don’t end up in prison.
I think the only things Clinton did that were controversial were having Reno fire them (I forget exactly what it was about how she went about it, but it was unprofessional); and firing Betty Jo White, who was investigating some scandal Clinton was named in. He relented and allowed White to finish that investigation.
