The coalition crashed over the budget, looked like new elections were in the offing, now apparently the lefties backed out.

The result will likely be a much stronger Sweden Democrat party acting as the effective opposition: unintended consequences for the tin ear political class. These oh-so-smart establishment parties may cause the Sweden Democrats to double their vote from 13% in the last election.
